I guess one could call it embarassing if they were trying to be politically correct and conform themselves to a High society standard. Well i'm not!

I am certain I am the one being talked about. You see I stood up and did a little dance and pointed at the scoreboard in response to one of the Ashland student sections chant's. They(Ashland's student section) seemed to thoroughly enjoy it, as did the dozen or so people who called me late last night to tell me I made the news. OH!! by the way several of the ballplayers called too and told me they really appreciated the support as "most of the Elliott fans are too quite and too laid back". I am a kid at heart and probably will be until my own kid's graduate high school. I fully support them in all their activities and even get down on their level(which isn't too hard for me) and play video games with them, take em fishing, hunting, shopping,etc and sometimes just simply goof off in public with them. It must be pretty good medicine, they all three have over 3.5 gpa's and have never been in the principal's office in trouble. I definately am not embarassed by dancing a little

jig or screaming and cheering for my child's team, but I am embarassed sometimes that some of the other kid's parent's on both side's do not show any passion or support for their child or the sport! Guess everyone has their own way of looking at thing's. GO ELLIOTT!!!!!

 

 

 

 

Well I feel a little cheated now. I don't feel I got my money's worth when I attended the Elliott Co.-Rose Hill game. :irked: Will you promise me now that you'll do the dance and jig during the regional tournament. I'm dying to see it. :lol::lol: I certainly appreciate the passion and enthusiasm you have for your team. After all it's just and game, and it's suppose to fun. :thumb:

Thats not what he continued to question. You know as well as I do that Russell did not let Ashland play there for monetary gain. Which was also implied and is insulting.

 

Also that apology had nothing to do with the elderly woman. That was an situation with the ticket takers. That is the only part he apologized for. Kind of.

How do you know he embarrasses the School and his kid and himself? I bet you have never spoken to him before in your life. He has more fun at these games then anyone else does. He cares alot for every player on the team and if he thinks they are getting a raw deal he will let somebody know about it.:sssh:

But he complains on every call, he yells at the opposing teams coaches and players and pretty much doesn't care what comes out of his mouth. I don't know that one for sure either because I did not go to the game. I would assume that since this was considered a home game for Ashland that the Ashland boosters or band boosters or whoever normally uses the home concessions as a fund raiser did. Maybe Duck could tell us for sure if he isn't still choking down some of that Fairview crow.

OK...shew. I have bitten off more than I intended to chew.

 

I assumed that Russell did gain something for allowing the game to be played there....AND I did say that there was nothing wrong with that. After all, Russell had to pay the utility bills, janitorial fees for clean-up, and repairs to the facilities (the falling piece from the ceiling).

 

I am sorry that I made the mistake of misidentifying the schools responsible for the various aspects of the game. I should simply have said an individual in the concession stand was rude to a child, and a "ticket taker" was rude to an elderly woman.

 

Rudness has no excuse, and neither do I. I should have been more careful about my assumptions. I'm sorry.

 

I still say that Ashland (adult) fans are the most classy in the region. Being a die-hard Elliott fan, I mean NO disrespect to any other school.

I also was at the Ashland-Elliott game sure enjoyed the game altho the first half was not as exciting as the second half, when thing begin to heat up a little. That said I saw Ashland fans dancing too, but you didn't mention them. Why would you single out one Elliott fan when there were others doing the same thing. If I was as embarrassed as you seem to be I would leave the game and refrain form attending any more Elliott games. It is embarrassing for me to hear you whinning about a fan who is expressing his passion for his child, team, and the game of basket ball. Am I wrong in asserting that some schools have cheering sections for this very purpose, and do the same thing, so why not enjoy the game and give your attention to it, and let the fans have their fun? You did state that you had known this person for several years, do you have some personal issues with this particular fan, if so you should let it go, and enjoy the game.
