February 5, 200818 yr If your spouse already bugs you now, the future is bleak. New research suggests couples view one another as even more irritating and demanding the longer they are together. The study results could be a consequence of accumulated contact with a spouse, such that the nitpicking or frequent demands that once triggered just a mild chafe develops into a major pain. But accumulated irritation has its silver lining. "As we age and become closer and more comfortable with one another, it could be that we're more able to express ourselves to each other," said lead study author Kira Birditt, a research fellow at the University of Michigan's Institute for Social Research. "In other words, it's possible that negativity is a normal aspect of close relationships that include a great deal of daily contact." http://news.yahoo.com/s/livescience/20080205/sc_livescience/marriageitsonlygoingtogetworse

February 5, 200818 yr Mrs. oldrambler is absolutely the love of my life and I will freely tell anyone this (and she is not looking over my shoulder right now either -lol). This woman is an "angel" on earth as far as I am concerend. I feel like Tubbycat stated above. This woman (Mrs. OR) puts up with me so that in itself makes her a saint. Seriously, with some of my health issues there would have been a lot of women that may have thought about leaving with it all getting to them. I can honestly say that she has had to do practically everything here and it kills me to watch her do so much and me not be physically able to contribute much. I will admit that I have definately "Over Married" . So, I don't know about anyone else but all of this "not working out" stuff does not apply to me, I am BLESSED with the most wonderful woman on earth as far as I am concerned.
February 5, 200818 yr This is a rule #5 violation. 5. No divulging or attempting to determine any member's true identity. That includes dropping hints about a user's identity or asking a member who he or she is in a public forum. You knew full well that my wife wrote this article. :irked:
February 5, 200818 yr " This woman is an "angel" on earth as far as I am concerend. I feel like Tubbycat stated above." quote from OldRambler. I can vouch for Mrs. OR. She has a natural way about her that makes everyone in her presence feel at ease. I said just last week she is an angel on earth and that God lets our paths cross everytime He knows I need a hug!

February 5, 200818 yr MrRk is truly one of the greatest blessings of my life and I thank God for him each and every day. We have never had a fight. Oh, we have had some "discussions" but never have we said the first ill word to each other. I can honestly say that I have never admired or respected anyone as much as I do my husband. I don't know what I did to deserve him but it must have been something really good. I think what couples fail to do is to talk to each other. I don't mean just opening your mouth and yakking but truly talking to each other. If you cannot communicate with your spouse then you have already lost.

February 5, 200818 yr Well, I have been married for 28 years. Best advice is that your spouse has to be your best friend as well as the one you love. That way you wont kill him when he cuts his toenails in bed. That best friend aspect will get you through many tough times. That, plus having separate checking accounts helps also!
