That is what I am saying, he counts. That is why everyone said it after the show in the posts I quoted. They previewed as another one is revealed and at that point in the show everyone was wondering who Kate was going home to. There is a reason it was such a shock and played up moment on the show.

 

A few people on BGP believing he is one of them doesn't mean he is one of them. There are quite a few people out there who do not think he's one of them

 

I have changed my mind after reading through all this other material.

 

Aaron is NOT one of the Oceanic 6. He wasn't a member of the original oceanic flight, therefore he can't be one.

Here's another reason I think Jin/Sun will be the last 2 of the oceanic six.

 

Every episode thus far that has been a "Oceanic survivor" centric (Hurley, Sayid, Kate) have ALL been flash forward episodes of members the oceanic six.

Episode 4.01 "The Beginning of the End" - Hurley centric (3rd known member of the Oceanic 6)

 

Episode 4.02 "Confirmed Dead" - Episode about the people from the Chopper.

 

Episode 4.03 "The Economist" - Sayid Centric. 4th known member of the Oceanic 6.

 

Episode 4.04 "Eggtown" - Kate Centric. 2nd known member of the Oceanic 6.

 

Episode 4.05 "The Constant" - Desmond centric. He was not an oceanic survivor, therefore can not be a member of the "oceanic 6".

 

Episode 4.06 "The Other Woman" - Juliet centric. Not one of the oceanic survivors, can't be one of the "oceanic 6".

 

Episode 4.07 "Ji Yeon" - Jin/Sun centric. Enough said.

Okay, back to a good discussion on the show. I still believe we could be thrown for a loop regarding the Oceanic 6, but if not...oh well. I hope they go pretty far in the future or else we're only going to have 5 stories off the island, as Aaron is a little too young to focus an episode on.

 

Anyways, this episode revealed some interesting things.

Did the Captain of the boat insinuate that Ben was responsible for the fake plane, and 300 or so dead bodies in the fake?

That does seem like what the captain was saying. That just reinforces the note that what was apparently Michael slipped in the door. I suppose it could have been the girl that jumped off the boat. What the heck was that about anyway?

Where they say only 7 survived initially, first I am wondering who the other survivor is. Second, as far as Jin goes, if he does die on the island then I dont think it will be until the end. I think him dying would be caused by him trying to get Sun off the island. Third, I'm not even convinced he will die. Since they are saying only 7 survived, either a catastrophic event happens while they are on the island that kills everyone else or they leave the others on the island, which could include Jin, among others.

 

We also have to consider this. I dont believe they were terribly specific about what kind of cast member dies. I will need to go back and watch the promo. We have to also consider it could be any person on that boat, or any of the new people on the island. I think it will be one of the new people on the island, and I have nothing to back that up.

John Locke didn't have much of a family.

 

I said the biggest swerve would be John Locke getting off the island.

The date on Jin's tombstone is 9/22/04.

 

The same day Oceanic flight 815 crashed.

 

I think you just answered your own questions.

 

 

 

Remember the captain said there were 325 bodies on the plane.

 

So, Jin's family could have been the one to put up the memorial stone before the Oceanic 6 was found. He probably will die on the island.

Jin could remain on the island, but it sure seemed like he was dead. Hurley said, "Lets go see him" and otherwise why would they go to a grave, if he wasn't in it? Why not just look at a picture? Especially if he's not really dead.

 

It wouldn't surprise me if Michael dies, but it's probably not likely because of what you said. He did say that he was there to die though..
