My bad, I went and looked at the article again it was an "unnamed source" that listed Jin.

 

Although I'm not sure how Aaron could be simply because he wouldn't originally be on the flight's manifest.

 

Somehow they will have to explain who was pregnant too if they don't list Clair as one of the 8 that survived the crash but didn't get rescued.

Who knows. I believe they have already been on the island for something like 3 or 4 months with more time to go. Sometimes really slender people like Kate don't show for a while. Plus she is a celebrity, so she may not even be questioned about it.

Who knows is right, thats what I love about this show.

Also, there's no way the police would let a murder suspect adopt a child of a woman she was in a plane crash with. So either she's saying it's hers, or no one knows about Aaron other than a few people...which is unlikely.

In regards to Aaron

 

Could the fact that Clare is Jack's half-sister (though they don't know it, yet ) and Aaron is therefore the grandson of Jack's father play some role in this? Could Jack have found out and that is why he wants nothing to do with Aaron? (Per Kate's flash forward)

 

Remember in Jack's flash forward he implies that his father is still alive and that in itself brings up a whole new bunch of questions.

 

I believe that Jack's father is going to end up being a pivotal character in this whole thing, just don't ask me how.
