What have you heard about Boyd's Team this year? What is everyones review?

You can bet Boyd Co. will be just fine. They have some real good coaches and will out work any team in the 16 region. They might start out slow, But they will be ready by the end of the season. You have to respect there program. Year in and year out. I think the next couple of years will be slow, But with hard work that you know will be there day in and day out. they will make a run for the region. Good luck BC.

I agree, BC will do just fine, they always do. But as far as out working all other teams in the 16th, I just don't know about that. Several teams will work just as hard this season. I guarantee there is a group of boys in Lloyd who will argue my point.

Yes, Greenup will work hard too. Mr. Logan has a hard work ethic. Greg is a good coach.

I agree with you totally MA97. GCHS swept snow off of the tarp yesterday and practiced outside. I know they were outside today also. BC will be fine sure, but out work everyone else? I don't know about that!

East Carter was on the field today. They were outside yesterday too.

Cody Dermon, Frankie Witten, Jake Bolander, and Andy Downing will provide the power for Lewis County.

LT Rice is very capable of being at the top in home runs and RBI's.

 

LT won't be able comming off of an injury. Billy Logan will be your top power hitter.

John Scott Carver at Raceland can flat out hit the ball. He batted .445 last season with some homeruns. His first varsity homer came as a freshman. i believe this junior will put up some big Homerun and RBI totals for Hoof this season.

I would follow Zack Reed after Logan.

I will go with Logan and Thompson for the 16th top two.

The loss of Bias and Davis is really going to hurt their lineup.

 

True, and don't forget James Barber. He was probably the best, most consistent hitter of the group.

Great post. You can never count out the Lions. They have one of the top teams in the state of KY year in and year out. Also they have put together a tremendous coaching staff. You must respect their tradition and passion for the game of baseball at Boyd County. They will be in the running for the 16th region championship again this year.

I agree Blazer! Carver and Martin can both knock the ball out of the park at any given time.
