January 30, 200818 yr For school that is. I am in an online class this semester where we have two 15 pagers four 3 pagers, a one pager, and 4 "Discussion board" questions we have to respond to in no less than 400 words, and 2 "discussion board" questions we have to respond to in now less than 200 words. I hate it. Only good thing is we have no tests in this class. I do have to read a book called "The Terrorist Hunter" I believe...I'm dreading it. Just wanted to post it here so hopefully someone else would have it worse off and make me feel better!
January 30, 200818 yr If it is a subject that I like....I love doing papers...if you need help, and it is not at the time where PH's next surgery is going to be...I will help if you need it.
January 30, 200818 yr Author If it is a subject that I like....I love doing papers...if you need help, and it is not at the time where PH's next surgery is going to be...I will help if you need it. The Subject is Terrorism and Homeland Security. I can always use help, just ask Birdsfan. And btw, thanks for the offer. I may take you up on it! I always like to get a few people to "proof read" my papers and make sure they do not sound stupid. Sometimes I do not notice my own stupid mistakes.
January 30, 200818 yr halfback, in the next 3 weeks, I have to write 2 Court of Appeals briefs, 3 responses to motions for summary judgment, a lengthy brief tracing about 40 years worth of marital assets, a long brief about search and seizure issues in a criminal case, and a boring summary judgment brief about eminent domain. I don't know whether that makes you feel any better or not.

January 30, 200818 yr I only have three 5 pagers, but I just keep putting the first one off and dreading it. Its supposed to be about the optimistic realism of the enlightenment period and my opinion of the philosophy of the time period with examples from "Tartuffe" "The Rape of the Lock" and "Candid".... Lame...
January 30, 200818 yr Halfback20 is doing it for a grade and you Hearsay are doing it for money! I would hate to have to do either one. JD

January 30, 200818 yr Advice on writing papers from a current law enforcement agent to a future one: Take your writing very seriously. Despite all the cool things you see on CSI, Law & Order, NYPD, and all the other cop shows, the majority of your time - and dare I day the most important thing you'll do - is spent report writing. You just don't see it on TV because it wouldn't be very entertaining to watch. You can be the second coming of Elliot Ness, but it means nothing if you can't put write a meaningful report that clearly spells out your investigation.
January 30, 200818 yr Maybe you should switch to boxers. Now that right there is what you call FUNNY!!
January 30, 200818 yr Maybe you could have FutureCoach give you a hand. God knows he can get a little long in the fingers.::laugh:
January 30, 200818 yr Author I'd much rather be writing a paper than working some sort of math problem. A 15 page research paper, or book review? I've never written anything that long and I'm not sure how to do it!
January 30, 200818 yr I hate when you are given a minimum amount of pages to write... As long as you get the information in there, I don't think there should be any minimum requirements... All 90% of them turn into in that case is repetition and off topic junk anyways. I had an English Professor assign a research paper and she said to get all the information we needed it should be 8 pages minimum... My paper was 3 pages and I got the best grade in the class because I write straight to the point and don't want to put any meaningless info in just to fill spaces.
