Wait until you get into graduate school, those papers I wrote as a student at EKU was like a Haiku compared to now.

I hate when you are given a minimum amount of pages to write... As long as you get the information in there, I don't think there should be any minimum requirements... All 90% of them turn into in that case is repetition and off topic junk anyways.

I had an English Professor assign a research paper and she said to get all the information we needed it should be 8 pages minimum... My paper was 3 pages and I got the best grade in the class because I write straight to the point and don't want to put any meaningless info in just to fill spaces.

I agree! I used to hate being given a "minimum." Just because I'm more succinct shouldn't be cause to be penalized!

No joke! I can do in 3 pages what she is asking me to do in 15!

On the contrary I love when the give a maximum. I've had a few papers where the professor wanted it to be no longer than a certain amount.

Hey, in my day papers had to be done on manual typewriters, sometimes using carbon paper. Writing a paper on a pc would have been a dream come true!

And we had to write our papers in ten feet of snow!

How's this grab ya: Last night before I get in bed at about 2:00, I check my class's schedule to see what I need to have read, as I like to do a bit of light reading before bed. Anyway, I notice that I had a paper due this morning at 9:00 that I was completely unaware of. Last night was awesome.

My 15 pagers aren't due until April and May. But I have to read an entire book and do a ton of research before writing them.

Well, get going now and you can have it done easily in time to enjoy spring break.

Gotta read the book first. I'm going to start on them after the Super Bowl.

I honestly have no problem writing papers, even in large amounts. English has always been my favorite mandatory subject, and I have no problem trying out new words and phrases in my papers.

Or maybe I dont mind them so much because I havent had to write one yet this semester.:sssh: (Knock on wood)
