that I'm about to be a first time father! :dancingpa My wife is very excited, except that she stays sick all of the time. She is just entering week 8 I believe, so a long haul yet to go. Now if I only had a clue what I was doing! :sssh:

I understand completely. My wife was sick all the time with our first child. I learned to make two meals at a time for her, cause I knew the first one was coming back up. Your job is to give her the princess treatment. You know, rub her feet and back (this will come later), tell her she looks beautiful, wait on her hand and foot, etc. And by all means, learn to be humble! Pregnant women can become a bit "unbalanced", so just learn to be contrite and agreeable. Learn to say "you're right dear. I don't know what I was thinking."

Hearty congratulations! You're about to go on a wild and wonderful roller coaster ride. There will be times when you want to get off, but in the long run, you'll be glad you couldn't get out of the safety harness!

Loved this post. Thanks for the advice. I have definatly been seeing what the book calls "irrationality." There is a section that says she may experience a new sense of calm, I'm still waiting for that one

The grandparents are more than excited. As for the sisters, they are already claiming their babysitting rights ;)

Congratulations. There's nothing better than being a Dad. :thumb:

Couldn't agree more. Being a grandfather is just about as good.

Congrats! ekubum

Just found out that we are having a boy! Being a first-time dad I am finding that it is seemingly taking forever for the pregnancy to end and we are only half-way through.
