Top QB's going Pro

Featured Replies

I'm wondering your thoughts on QB's going to the pros.

Say you're a NFL scout, give me your top ten QB's in order.

1) Ryan

2) Brohm

3) Woodson

4) Henne

5) Booty

Wow...This is going to be such a WEAK, WEAK draft class of QB's...

1. Brohm

2. Ryan

3. Josh Johnson- University of San Diego

4. Woodson

5. Colt Brennan

6. John David Booty

7. Eric Ainge

8. Joe Flacco

9. Dennis Dixon (He goes to 5 on my list if his ACL injury is healed up)

10. Chad Henne

1. Ryan

2. Brohm

3. Woodson

4. Dixon (if his ACL heals up)

5. Henne

6. Ainge

7. Booty

8. Flacco

9. Brennan

I think most likely all these will be drafted, but mostly in late rounds.

I think there are only 2-3 who are gonna help those teams out who need a QB in the near future, involved in this draft. Still have to stick by Brohm as the quickest to start on the next level.

I like Brohm but I don't see him as being a true difference maker on the next level. I think we've got some decent quarterbacks in this class if they are given the time to develop. Ryan I just don't see being better than Brohm and I don't see Brohm stepping in and starting anytime soon. I see maybe one or two NFL starters for any length of time out of this bunch and no stars.

1. Ryan

1a. Brohm

3. Henne

4. Flacco

5. Booty

6. Ainge

7. Woodson

8. Brennan

I'm not sure about Dixon or the San Diego guy, I haven't read much about them.

I do think that this QB class is extremely weak, and aside from the first two, none will be able to play in their first 2 or so years.

1. Ryan

1a. Brohm

3. Henne

4. Flacco

5. Booty

6. Ainge

7. Woodson

8. Brennan

The QB with the biggest upside of any in this draft is Josh Johnson. He is mechanically sound from working with Jim Harbaugh for 3 years. He reads defenses well and he is mobile. He has a strong arm and played in a pro-style offense in college. His issue is his weight. He is under 200lbs. He will have to bulk up. He will be starting in the league in three years and he will have a real shot to be a great player. He has impressed me the most of any QB I have seen this year. He only threw 3 picks all year. The level of competition is obviously an issue, but he outshined every QB at the East/West Shrine Game. He is a good prospect to take a flyer on in the 3rd or 4th round, IMO.

Anyone putting Woodson in front of Eric Ainge is dreaming! Ainge isn't the best QB in the draft (I'd put him at 3-5) but he has a bigger upside than Woodson. Can play the Pro-Style O and knows when to dump the ball off or out of play. Dosen't make many mistakes, but does need a good O line to protect him.

I'd look for him to go somewhere like the Colts in the 2nd round. It would benefit him to play under someone like a Manning or a Favre for a few season to see if he has the stuff.

How many picks did Ainge and Woodson throw this year?
