January 29, 200818 yr Anyone putting Woodson in front of Eric Ainge is dreaming! Ainge isn't the best QB in the draft (I'd put him at 3-5) but he has a bigger upside than Woodson. Can play the Pro-Style O and knows when to dump the ball off or out of play. Dosen't make many mistakes, but does need a good O line to protect him. I'd look for him to go somewhere like the Colts in the 2nd round. It would benefit him to play under someone like a Manning or a Favre for a few season to see if he has the stuff. :banana: Woodson will go before him in the Draft.:thumb:

He is the only "big" QB that played for a highly ranked team, that finished with a win. The "sexy" pick, right now, if you will. I still maintain that Brian will seperate himself at the combine.

February 10, 200818 yr Nevermind I found it, Ainge threw 1 less pick, but Dre thru 9 more td's, had a higher completion percentage and a Higher QB rating, I guess I like to dream big... Ainges stats were down because he played 3/4 the season with a broken finger on his throwing hand and I wouldnt say Tennessee had the quality reciervers as years past. No disrespect to Woodson but Ainge is a better Qb. Woodson holds on to the ball too long and cant hold on to it if he gets hit. He is a good passer and accurate , it wont be pretty when he has to deal with the speed of the NFL defensive players.

I really think two things, Brohm is the best pro quarterback in the draft and Andre Woodson is a better quarterback than Erik Ainge. You can fit the mold of a pro quarterback all you want, I think Woodson is a better player and gets it done, bad showcase or not...

I know this is a pro UK board, but didn't Flynn get it done(in the SEC as well)? What about Booty? Or freakin' Colt Brennan? Most, if not all, of these guys excelled at the college level. That doesn't make you a good fit for the pro game, just ask Frazier, Klingler, Crouch, Grossman, Wuerrful, Akili Smith, Harrington, etc. Woodson may very well be better than Ainge, but I don't think either will be starting for an NFL team any time in the next few years. The more I look at this QB class, the more I think it is really, really weak......

Though it is very rare that there be a STRONG class. I know your partial to Brohm, but you have to admit that even he and Ryan(the two frontrunners in this class IMO) aren't your prototypical 1st round QBs. I don't see any Mannings, Palmers, etc. in this class. But I suppose your right, how often do you see those types of guys? Not really all that different from last years now that I think about it (Russell, Quinn). It just baffles me to think that 3 of these guys could go in the early-mid 1st round.
