Understand I like Gallatin County and if I can get off work. I will be rooting for them at Richmond, but you sort of forgot about the Ryle Loss (38-53). And yes I understand you guys had a issue with the 9th Region Referees in that loss.

 

BTW; Paintsville blew out Anderson (79-58) and Anderson also lost to Bardstown (64-54), so I wouldn't be calling Anderson one of the best teams in the Commonwealth.

 

Yeah I forgot about Ryle, We played bad that game, loss Mattox are leading scorer, he had to get stiches after 1st quarter, plus we had just played our rival game the night before so we had a bad game and the refs didn't help.

 

I didn't know about the paintsville team, maybe we will be in the finals together?

St. Henry plays defense - real defense - not lip service defense, much as Brossart did last year.

 

UHA couldn't handle the defensive pressure last year and went belly up. New coach and maybe a different attitude this year. UHA will have to earn everything they get from the Cru!

I remember hearing the same thing about Hopson & also Langhi (6'11" and unstoppable) last year before the semi-final game between Bishop Brossart and UHA. As I recall the result was 58-38 with Hopson chipping in a whopping 6 being guarded by a D-III recruit and a golfer, and Langhi with 5 being totally handled by a shotputter 6 inches shorter--Both were overshadowed by teammate Edumundson, as well as the Mustang starters.

 

UHA better not look past Coach Faust & the St. Henry 'Cru or they'll be headed south on the early bus!! That said, if they can all play as hard as Edmundson, they have to be one, if not the favorite to win it all.

 

I will be shocked if St. Henry wins. They have a lot of heart and play good fundamental basketball, but they have no size.

Six of the first-round games have the potential to be very competitive ... Rose Hill and Hazard shouldn't be threatened seriously in the opening game. From that point, this could be a fun tournament.
