I am not sure of their enrollment, but my boys team (Trimble Co) that did NOT win our All "A" region has beaten them twice this year. In one game, they only scored 39 points, I believe.

Metcalfe County has an outstanding team but their best player Trey Shirley has been out for 2-3 weeks and isn't expected back till later. Metcalfe is still good enough to win a couple of games... with Shirley they could have won it. They have 10-11 seniors and coming from the 4th region they have played excellent compitition.

On paper you're right, but the same was true last year, and look what happened? I think St. Henry is a potential land mine in the opening game for UHA. Another well coached, well disciplined team like Brossart was last year; and Bardstown is another I like in their bracket. Should be a good tourney, but if the regionals are any indication; it could be surprise city come Sunday afternoon!!

I have seen Bishop Brossart, St. Henry, LexChristian, Paintsville and June Buchanan play and have read and heard alot about Gallatin County as a co-worker newphew plays for them. JB, with the Step brothers and Cox (if they are on) will be a tough match-up for any team on this list, followed by UHA (which I haven't seen). My dark horse is Ninth Region St. Henry. Faust is one of the best coaches in the state, and always seems to get his players up and ready for this tourney. If they (St. Henry) can get past UHA in the first round, they could meet up with JB in the finals.... Looks like to me at least, JB should have no problem in the bottome bracket and again to me at least, the upper bracket is the tougher of the two brackets.

You can be sure that Faust will have a terrific game plan in place for UHA. Whether his boys can execute remains to be seen. His 2003 team won the All "A" state title and was the only team to give Mason Co. a game (2 point loss) in the Sweet 16 that year. If it weren't for losing his center to a knee injury during the game, they would have knocked out Mason Co. Coach Faust does well in big games. He will have his team ready!
