Beechwood played Cov Cath pretty close earlier in the season without Romes playing and @ Cov Cath.

The KHSAA has nothing to do with it.

 

The divisions are within the NKAC (Northern Kentucky Athletic Conference).

Real obvious what the plan of attack was... Beechwood put all their long athletic guys in and played a packed in man to man defense where if the man they were guarding didn't have the ball they had a foot in the paint and swarmed anyone stepped inside the 3 point line. Getting into the lane was nearly impossible. Giwa tried a couple times but it is really hard just to take that on. They closed out well with a hand up and had Romes faceguard Sorrell and dared anyone else to beat them. They didn't....

 

By the way... As far as Beechwood goes with the ball, they have shooters and finishers, but Beuttel makes it go..... PG play is so important.

They arent bad when they have something to cheer about, but like games when they play holmes, and when they are losing by 40, u cant blame the students for being quiet.

I agree! I was going to ask in the prediction thread if Romes was back yet, as I would see Beechwood having a much better game with him in there.

I have heard rumors thru the grapevine that they are trying to use TM for districts. Anyone else hear this? Honestly, Beechwood is just too small to host a district tourney. Not enough stands and locker room space would be tough, I think?

They tried that about 15 years ago, not sure why they stopped.
