Question for the Religious Folks

I don't think our church would use that type of billboard or maybe that type of picture. Most people can get the message without the picture.

Are you OK with the intent?

^^^I'd have to speak to the leaders of the Church. Maybe posting a marriage course, instead of Sex lessons. I don't know really I need to think about it. Doesn't really bother me, but did you notice in the article the word "Shocking"?

To be clear, its a discussion/course on sex within marriage, right? Sex is a subject that, for some reason, cannot be discussed. If we all agree that its a beautiful aspect of marriage and that many of us can use some education or insight to make it even better, the billboard has done its job.

This would be my billboard

Where did you get a picture of my prom date??????

I don't know whether to be offended or flattered.

Read the Song of Solomon. Some racy stuff in there.

You do know why evangelicals don't have sex standing up don't you . . .

They are afraid someone will think they are dancing.

Dancing: The vertical expression of a horizontal desire legalized by music.

I didn't see anything wrong with the billboard. I agree with acemona, it might get more people through the doors.

The book of Songs of Solomon discusses sex in depth.

The church is to set apart from the world. We are to abstain from all appearances of evil. We should'nt have to stoop to showing this kind of message just to get someone through the door. Sex is exploitd enough without the Lord's church trying to get into the act just to fill pews.

I agree with Alabama Larry ... I don't think this is a proper way to attract attention to the church.

A church is a place for christians to worship and sinners to learn where they are going to spend eternity if they are not saved. And then when they no they are lost how to get on the Roman road.

There are many different beliefs on how the church should operate. Different denominations, different view points. For example, lets look at the topic of this thread...should a believer ever criticize a method that God chooses to use? Some things are just hard to grasp. God's ways are not man's ways.
