You guys keep talking about the Giants healing up and making it tougher for the Patriots. You do realize that the Patriots have the same amount of time to rest and heal as well, right? I just don't see it as a signifcant advantage.

You'll have guys that didn't play at all, playing for the Giants. You'll have guys that played banged up, played fresh for the Pats. The Giants have those same banged up players but in that particular game, the Giants were without more players.

I think we're saying the same thing...:lol:

It's weird common sense tells me that the Pats will blow them away but I am having a weird feeling about the Giants winning. I will go with the Pats by 14, but I will not be rooting for them.

I'll go with the Patriots. I don't think they've chased history this far to lose to the Giants...and Brady surely can't stand the thought of a Manning beating him in the Super Bowl.

 

I still think the Patriots are capable of running anyone they play off the field, so that's a possibility. The Giants also proved that they can play with the Patriots, so it shouldn't be a surprise if they do just that, or even win.

 

Obviously, the fact that the Giants will be healthier is a plus for them and a reason for optimism.

 

But, on the flipside, I have to believe that favorable weather in Arizona will be a huge plus for New England. An offense like that is obviously more dangerous when the weather cooperates...when they played the Giants last time it was cold and windy...it's doubtful that would be the case this time.

4. And, here's a big one...they played about a month ago. Who benefits most from that game? The Giants probably gained some confidence by proving to themselves they could play with New England. However, Belichick is a master game-planner...I think the Giants played to win that game...with two weeks to study a game from a month ago, I believe the Patriots will benefit from that game when it comes to game planning and gaining a strategic advantage. I could be wrong, but Brady and Darth Hoodie are smart guys...smarter than Coughlin and Eli, I dare say...I think they'll come up with some new wrinkles.
