I think the Giants have a very good shot at winning. If I didn't, why would I watch?

Because you are a die hard Giants fan??

Regardless, yes I do believe the Giants have a shot. Just like I believed they had a shot to beat Tampa Bay, Dallas, and Green Bay.

"The players are settled in, loose, relaxed and we’re ready to roll out. By the way, most of the players are wearing all black, as a show of unity. Pat Hanlon joined in as did some of the equipment guys."

GO GIANTS!!:dancingpa

That's not the real reason...:fire:

They are wearing black suits because Antonio Pierce convinced most of them to, to show that they mean all business.

Sort of...

I'm a bit surprised to be watching some reports for this game or reading them and seeing media people pickin the Giants. I assume this is the sexy pick as it offers those people who pick the Giants to either be wrong and simply say, "hey, i was rooting for the underdog!!" or be right and say "I was one of the few to pick the Giants when they were such big underdogs!"

As for the all black, I assume the Giants are mourning the impending death of the Patriots' perfect season, assuming they can pull off the win. That is simply a guess, I don't know the real reason. A little arrogance is good, god I just hope nobody goes on tv and states they think the Patriots are more scared of them then the Giants are scared of the Patriots.

Kinda like Plaxico Burress predicting a 23-17 victory?

:thumb:Just like they're going to a funeral...

I also liked them being the black mark on a perfect season...

I love the "Nobody is giving the Giants a chance" line...most "experts" are predicting a close game and some are picking the Giants to win. The Giants already proved they could play with New England in the last game of the season...

It's like a segment I saw on ESPN News the other day...the anchor asks Qadry (sp?) Ismail about the Patriots and Randy Moss...she says, "The Patriots go out and get Randy Moss and nobody is giving them a chance. How did they have such a great season?"

Are you kidding me? Nobody was giving New England with Randy Moss a chance? Where do they find these people? People weren't sure exactly what to expect from Moss, but everyone knew it was an upgrade and even without Moss you can't say nobody gives New England a chance...yes, he definitely exceeded expectations with a season for the ages, but give me a break.

I tire of it.

Shoot me a PM and fill me in since you have inside info.

Should he have predicted a 23-17 defeat? Would you have liked that better?

Shoot, shouldn't have given the score, saying you can win is one thing or you will win if you play your game, but predicting a score to me is just feeding the media a little bit of news. I agree w/ HB20, nobody is gonna predict their team will lose unless their team is just straight up bad, but just say hey, we'll win and leave it at that.

What happened was this...

Someone from the Post got to Plaxico as he was exiting his car at Giants stadium (yesterday before they left New York) and asked him if he was ready to make history and he said something like, "You better believe it". Then they asked something like "what will the score be" and without hesitation he said 23-17. That's it. It's really no big deal.

I assumed something of the sort. Oh well, with today's media being in your face 24/7 if you are even the tiniest bit famous before a big game or something I'd say that is pretty tame.
