January 10, 200818 yr Ok, this is kind of an in depth conversation that me and a few of my buddies have been having. What exactly are the steps that you need to take to actually become an adult? I am 24 years old, a college graduate, have a great job, and I still feel and act like a 21 year old college kid. So I ask you, what exactly are the steps that one must take to finally be a "grown-up?"
January 10, 200818 yr Don't until you really have to and settle down. You are to young to tie yourself up at the present time my friend. JD
January 10, 200818 yr Author Oh trust me, I have no desire to grow up!!! But sometimes you just have those days where it seems like your just stuck spinning your tires! :thumb:
January 10, 200818 yr Me and my friends will never grow up, It's just not going to happen. Yeah, you tell yourself that. Then, before you know it, you're fussing about having to shave what had become a pretty cool beard because too many white hairs are showing up, and some are also showing up on the dome as well.

January 10, 200818 yr I'm fixing to be 27, my roommates are 25 and 28, we all have white collar good jobs, all have college degrees and none of us act like we are grown ups, I dont plan on "growing up" till I get married and even then, I'm still gonna have fun, just be yourself and know when theres a time and a place to pretend to be mature

January 10, 200818 yr I'm a 35 year old mother of 5 and I am still not "grown up." I will always be about 22 in my mind.
January 10, 200818 yr When I say I am 41, it scares the heck outa me. I am still not grown up. I see some people, like my parents, that have been grown up my whole life....but not me. PH and I were married pretty young...me 22, PH was 30. Neither one of us grew up after we were married, or were raising our foster kids...heck, we used to have water fights in the house with the hose (when we washed the cars) with the kids. I think we had more fun than the kids. We have three "grandchildren" from one of our foster girls and one from another. PH and I still joke around and have fun. I don't think any of us really grow up...there are just some who act older than others.
January 10, 200818 yr There's no such thing as growing up. There's acting like a grown up. Alas, it's all an act. Inside, we all would like to give the guy in front of us at the theater with the giant head a wet willie.
January 10, 200818 yr When you get to the point that others matter more than you having a good time, you have grown up. When you are willing to sacrifice your life and your time for others' benefit, you have grown up.
