For those who voted for GW.

Featured Replies

Dems like to rail on us that we are so accepting of everything that GW has done. And that is far from the truth. Here is a thread for you to say what about GW's 7 years has disappointed you, showing the GWbashers that not everything are we happy about.

For me, the lack of fiscal control. The spending is ridiculous and the veto pen should have come out before this past year.

The first 6 years have led me to believe that it is not good for either party to have full control of both. That when that occurs, there is no backbone to stand up to spending in their own party.

1. His failure to secure our southern border.

2. His failure to control federal spending and the growth of government.

3. His decision to join with Ted Kennedy to get the No Child Left Behind Act passed and signed into law.

4. His decision to cave under pressure and accept the religion of Global Warming Alarmism.

The border issue tops my list.

Stem cell research is another for me.

As with LBBC, fiscal control is also a concern for me.

Oh, another good one for me. That one really drives me nuts!

The border and amnesty for illegals

And in two years, public schools are going to be faced with changing, once again at the whims of politicians, what they are doing in the classroom. A new President comes in and NCLB will be dropped and their little plan will be put into place. New tests to learn how to administer, new things they want us to do, new methods to teach.

You want to know what is wrong with public schools, they don't let the teachers teach. The politicians continually are changing what they want teachers to be doing and we spend vast and important time learning what the politicians think should be going on in schools instead of preparing for our classrooms.

I will step down from my soapbox now.

Border security and the ridiculous illegal immigrant amnesty that he pushed.

Outrageous spending without a single veto.

His obssession with invading Iraq.

No Child Left Behind.

So a lot of the public school kids aren't as prepared for college because of this, correct? ;)

No they are prepared because the public school teachers are the best in the WORLD. INCLUDING ALL of the others. They give, give, give and give of their time to do the things they have to to appease the politicians and the give more of their time and their personal $$$$$ to prepare their classes for the kids to learn.:dancingpa

They are so good, I chose to marry one.:dancingpa:thumb:

College administrators who don't believe this are being sucked into the myth out there that public school students are not prepared.

I went to one of the hardest academic colleges in the state and had no issues academically when I WANTED to do the assignments.

But if a teacher isn't teaching a kid a certain subject because they're spending time on other things, decided by a politician...they're not as prepared.

You're taking it too personal. It has NOTHING to do with the teachers. It's the system. You can't expect to put in 5 man-to-man offenses, 5 2-3 zone offenses, 5 1-3-1 offenses, 2 man press breaks, 2 zone press breaks, 5 man out of bounds plays, 5 zone out of bounds plays and all of your defenses in if you get 30 minutes of practice time twice a week...

Better?

There have been a lot of fiscal disappointments. #1 - Conversion of the actuarial standard from the 20-year T-Bill to the 10-year bond. Its going to bankrupt our ERISA plans. I find the Patriot Act to be intellectually dishonest. Runaway spending. Spinelessness with his party on nomination issues.
