January 6, 200818 yr Saw the thread about things I've learned on BGP, and thought I'd add this one about things that you may see on BGP that just quite don't make sense to you. Whatcha all got?
January 6, 200818 yr Author Here's one that always leaves me scratching my head... Why when people refer to Ohio State, do they always put "tOSU"? What in the world is the "t" for? Does this confuse anyone else, or is it just me?
January 6, 200818 yr Author THE Ohio State University. I am pretty sure that is why. Oh, I just thought the "the" was always understood. For example, nobody refers to UK as tUK. But, I guess it does make sense. Thanks for the clarification.

UK doesnt advertise themselves as The U of KY, however Ohio State does, like on there bumper stickers, its litterally says "The Ohio State University"

Think it had something to do with some trivial thing w/ Ohio University over which was the official state U of Ohio or something, my boss is from Columbus and went to Ohio, and he explained it to me but like most things he says, I dont pay much attention:lol:

January 6, 200818 yr Why we don't have get togethers in Bowling Green.....!! Probably the same reason why the state football championships are not there. 1) not center of KY; 2) fans wouldn't travel there.
