To be honest, I have never even seen the original with Burt, but I can see by reading on here that it is supposed to be much better than the new one. But since I have never seen the original & Sandler is my favorite actor along with Jim Carrey, I pick the 2005 version.

Take 10 bucks down to the local Wal-Mart and grab the original out of the discount bin. You won't be sorry. It's the only sports movie that comes close to being as good as "Hoosiers." "For Granny ... for Nate ... for Caretaker ..."

January 21, 200818 yr Thats what I am talking about! The first time I saw that movie, I had just started wrestling. The scene where Louden is warming up before he wrestles the 2-time state champion, and the song "Lunatic Fringe" by Red Rider is playing... I go so fired up, I put my wrestling gear on and ran for about 2 miles before I knew what I was doing.
