NC, Holy Cross, or Beechwood can win this.

The BW/HC game will be very good.

Beechwood has to be the sleeper but NCC should come out on top they've just got to many weapons that can score!!!

Sandman appears high on Holy Cross, not giving Beechwood much respect during the 1st round, Does Sandman know something we don't about either team?

Just my prediction. For what it's worth, Holy Cross beat Newport by a lot, and Beechwood lost to Newport. I'm sure that means nothing, though.

Where's that Beechwood is for real thread?

They might not have enough to win, but St. Henry only has to win one game. :)

St. Henry has finally gotten the better draw. I can remember many years where the Crusaders have played NCC or HC in the first round. Even Ludlow when Ludlow has very nice team.

I don't see much changing. I've watched all 3 of the powers and I think its NCC's to lose. They look very tough even through a rebuilding year.

I think you have to go with NCC but HC is a tough team and very capable of beating anyone!!!!

Cov. Holy Cross

Newport Cent. Catholic

Beechwood

Newport

Saint Henry

Villa Madonna

Ludlow

Dayton

Bellevue

Heritage Academy

I rank them in this order. I know Newport beat Beechwood, and Bellevue has gotten past Dayton once, but this is how I see the teams in my opinion. The problem is the top 4 teams play each other early so who knows how it shakes out. It may not be the best team that wins, but the team who has the hottest hand.

I wouldnt say St. Henry has a walk to the finals...Villa has a good team.

Villa has to deal with a tough young maturing talented Dayton squad Monday.

Bellevue beat them as well this evening by 14 I believe.

While Holy Cross is the popular choice to win this tournament, I beg to differ. Villa Madonna has showed signs of coming to life. They take no prisoners when playing at the "Thunderdome." With leading scorer Stephen "much" Love tickling the twine from outside the line the Blue Lightning have a legitimate shot at taking the gold.

Ludlow moves down the list and without Romas, I would even move Beechwood down. They are clearly not the same team without him.

It's fun to see Villa fielding a competitive (at the NKAC D-III level) team this year. That said, what has changed since 12/21 (33 point loss to NCC at home) to make you think that Villa could compete with the 9th region "A" big boys??
