I wanted to ask other experts opinion on your preference

We are looking at getting 3 bats for our teams:

The TPX red Exogrid

the Easton Stelth Stiff Composite

The demarini CF-3

 

I got him the stelth two years ago and it lasted with a good pop for half the season. Being in Louisville, obvious the TPX is a big choice ( U of L gets them) and I know the demarini has been known for softball bats. What's your opinion?

Personally, I prefer the EXO. They are solid, sound good when bad contact is made and don't jar the hands, if on the knob or end. They seem very durable, clean easy but one drawback is the paint/design, can flake away if used a lot. I recommend using a protective sleeve, for cage, tee and soft toss drills, to help with appearance.

 

Got to see several games, with teams hitting with EXO's, use in BP, cage and game. I'm not a fan of composite or two-piece bats, but the EXO is very solid and not like the connection style of bats.

 

I would recommend the Red EXO.

I've heard good things about both the Exo and the Easton Stealth Composite Adult Baseball Bat. If possible, I'd have as many players as possible try swinging the bats to see how they like the feel.

Stealth, stiff, is the bat my son used last year. Hit a homerun in first at bat with it. Hit 4 more over the next 30 games. Several teammates started using it and I noticed they were hitting with more power than usual. By the end of the year the Stealth and Exogrid were the only 2 bats being used.

Can't go wrong with the EXO Grid or Stealth. IMO, the Demarini's an inferior bat.

 

I'd go with whatever gives your team the most confidence. Sometimes that's feel, sometimes that's brand. Whatever it is, go with it...

The EXOs are very good bats.

I've been around a lot of baseball and they always seem to last the longest and have a lot of pop in them.

 

I'm also a sucker for the designs:p

Another vote here for the Exogrid. However, I would recommend the white 2007 model over the red 2008. They are the exact same bat, but guess which one costs alot more? All the red paint does is differentiate it from the 2007 model and allow them to charge a lot more. I've heard there is (or will be) an Air Exo model, but I'd wouldn't be a charter user of that bat. Having used other "Air" models in the past, I can tell you these bats tend to lose their pop quicker. I was told by someone fairly knowledgeable about bats that it has to do with the air chambers inside the bat losing their integrity.

To clarify, It's more about not liking the balance and "feel" of the Demarini's. Just a personal preference...

Would any of you know what are the best bats in different price ranges? The pricing versus performance can really vary.
