Was anyone making excuses?

well not on here that i've seen, but alot of the people i was watching the game with thought the officiating was bad.

but what you guys are failing to realize about the FSU squad was that they were without a starting CB, LB, DT, WR, 2 TE's, G,T for the game. So alot of the talent that they had on the roster didnt have alot of experience due to being backups. But nonetheless they would have won if this scandal doesnt happen. But it happened and FSU lost. Congrats to UK on back-2-back bowl wins for the first time in 50+ years.

 

 

 

Nobody knows if Free Shoes University would have won if the Scandal doesnt hit them. UK was the favorite before this came out.

I was at the game and I didn't really feel that it was that bad. There were a few calls that were questionable, but isn't there always? I thought they should have reviewed Little's first fumble because it appeared on the big screen that his knee was down. I'm sure that there was a better angle on t.v. though. The big calls against FSU were all warranted. They had one player run up and catch a punt out of the UK player's hands after he was waiving for the fair catch. Then, the guy flipped into the endzone. That wasn't bad enough so he picked the official's flag up off the ground and tossed it back at him. That's why they were penalized twice. There wasn't alot of other memorable calls that anyone should be complaining about.

I watched practically every FSU game this year and I concur. There is no way of knowing, because the Noles had 30 different personalities and you didn't know which one would come out of the tunnel for the game.

They called Weatherford down when he appeared to score which caused a 4th down stop on the next play for UK, then when they called Greg Carr for pass interference where he appeared to score, those were 2 BIG bad calld IMO

Weatherford's knees were on the ground and then he fell forward into the end zone. At least, that's how it appeared with the angles on the stadium screens.

 

Beside's that, the next play was an INT return for a TD, so FSU scored their TD anyways. Correct?

The replays on TV appeared that Weatherford was stopped. And yes, the next play was a pick six so it didn't matter.

 

And the offensive against Carr was technically offensive PI but wouldn't have killed me if it wasn't called. It just so happened that UK got the call. But for FSU fans to say it was a bad call just isn't correct.

How was their PI on that Play? Carr never pushed off?

The worst call was when the called the FSU WR out on the 1 yd line. He was in for sure.

For all the years I've watched and suffered through UK football, and all the bad calls that have cost us games it doesn't bother me when we get one back every now and then. As for not having their full team I know when I played high school ball normally the guys I practiced against everyday were better than the people I played against on Fridays. So I would think that in the 5 year period Brooks has signed 5 5 stars and Florida State 56 then they practiced against better competition daily. I also agree was it they couldn't use their regular rotation which means the backups are experienced, or they didn't have all their players. If UK had taken care of the ball it would've been a blow out anyway.

That's basically how I felt about it. I thought Weatherford was stopped, but it didn't matter anyways. They still got a TD. Pass interference is basically a judgement call sometimes. It appeared that Carr pushed off a little, but I didn't get a good replay of that one.
