I buy into the tired excuse for several reasons, travel, number of games, competition (path to the finals), and Lex. Cath. full-court pressure. It looked to me like Mason tired, especially Miller, and that leads to some bad decisions...the three at the end of regulation rather than taking the ball to the basket.

 

I enjoyed seeing an exciting game between (arguably sp.?) the top two teams in Kentucky regardless of who won.!

Love to read about all those excuses about losing. Learn to accept losing without making excuses. Read all of these and just stop and think, bad coaching, bad free throw shooting, choking in close games, have been on a long trip, too many games in a short period of time, bad decisions, not calling time outs on certain occasions and it goes on and on. I believe Mason Co is the best team in the state but sometimes the best just gets knocked off.

Well lets face it almost every good team loses but to be the best you got be wearing a ring around your finger at the end of march. Which means this game means nothing you can lose every game in the reguler season but then start playing good come march and walk out of Rupp Arena as state champions. It all starts in march.

Okay fella, Choke? Try exhausted... Mason county has played the toughest schedule in the state by far this season... Especially in the last 10 days. I'm not taking anything away from lex cath because they are an excellent high school basket ball team. In about 3 weeks though i expect to see Mason county come out with a chip on their shoulder and win by 15+ points JMO.

 

You might want to rethink the "Mason County has played the toughest schedule in the state by far this season" .....you may forget there is a little team in Georgetown who played in the biggest two high school tournments in the nation the past 10 days!

Can we Elliott Fans use the "excuse" of the 4 hr round trip busride wed, thurs, and 2 hrs up fri. plus not much rest from the bench. I know most of yall said it was becauseCC was just so much better! Point is people have bad games an lose. It doesn't necessarily mean your team is inferior. I like your self believe Elliott could beat CC when fully rested first game of a tourney!!!!

But why in the world would Elliott not have stayed in Lexington anyway. Just the drive from Sandy Hook to Morehead is enough to do me in.
