I voted for Scrooge, but the read-headed kid from Ralphie was a pretty good one too.

Other top contenders:

The abominable snowman from Rudolph

The magician from Frosty

The Winter Warlock from "Claus"

Ceaser Augustus may be the dark-horse in this race

Ah, yes, The Bumble. Scariest stick-figure-animation-thing ever.

That would be Scut Farcas. He had yellow eyes, so help me God, yellow eyes.

I don't understand how some of you are voting for Scrooge or The Grinch. As was already mentioned they both had a change of heart, and became good. The same can be said for Winter Warlock, and the Abominable Snowman. Mr. Potter from "It's A Wonderful Life" though never changed. As a matter of fact he stole $7,000 from George Bailey, and was going to have him sent to prison. He is by far the top Christmas Villain. No one else even comes close.

LRCW is half-correct. Scrooge and The Grinch both changed. However, he's wrong to pick on Mr. Potter when there's somebody even worse out there.

Somebody who hates toys.

Somebody who threw Kris Kringle in jail.

Clearly, the chump of all time is Burgermeister Meisterburger.

I'll still take someone who stole $7000 from a person who worked and sacrificed for the betterment of others over someone who hates toys as the biggest villain. :D

He threw Santa in jail! You can't get lower than that!

My write in vote is for Hanz Gruber. He was pretty mean and held the whole Nokatome Tower hostage. John McLean had to ruin it for him.

Scrooge and Mr. Potter are pretty much one in the same, imo. Only difference Scrooge started seeing ghosts whereas an aquaintance of Mr. Potter started seeing angels.

The other difference being that Scrooge had a change of heart, Mr. Potter was still going to send poor George Bailey to jail.

Caesar, but I wont make fun of you for it, it is the holiday season after all :D

Potter was mean and devious right up till the end. It's him hands down imo.

I'm going with Oliver Cromwell on this one.

So I heard on the radio today that Home Alone's "The Wet (or Sticky in the sequal) Bandits" were ranked number one in a list of the Top Christmas Villians.

Are you kidding me?!?!

I really think it's a three dog race. Scrooge, The Grinch, or Mr. Potter from It's a Wonderful Life. I'll put those three up plus the radio (and whatever survey they were listing)'s response and let's see what BGP thinks.

For the record, I'm going with Potter. Scrooge and Grinch were on par with his greedyness and evil ways - but they both end up having a change of heart. When George decides to not kill himself and the townspeople and good ol' Sam Wainwright make up his money...Potter is still Potter (greedy and grumpy as ever.)

I agree, Potter never did see the light, which makes him the worst in my eyes.

The little guy from Bad Santa
