Kentucky 2008 Schedule

Featured Replies

For the record I have no problem with OSU playing Youngstown. They are still in the BCS game they wanted so someone knew what they were doing with the schedule. I just dont see how Uk and OSU schedules can be talked about together.

Gonna be sweet when tO$U gets run on by LSU in the NC and I'm sure you'll still contend they were the best in the country, just not that night LOL

I just posted because I found it funny when UK fans can say Ohio State's schedule is weak when they play teams like Akron ( who Kentucky is playing next year ) Kent State ( who Kentucky played this year ) Youngstown State ( where Tressel coached ) and Washington ( who in a good run when the Buck's put them on the schedule ). But UK schedules Norfolk State ( who Rutgers beat 59-0 ) and Temple ( who went 1-11 last year and 4-8 this year ). That's all...

This thread had nothing to do with Ohio state, like most threads, yet you made it about them, no one cares about Ohio State

Go change your avatar, your weak arguements are getting old

No, I said that because of what letabrotherspeak said.

I am not saying the Big 10 is better than the SEC because it isn't. I admit that and I have before. I am just saying come on, give the Big 10 credit. People act like it's a cake walk conference. I just wish people would wake up and see the Big 10 is tough, and it always will be..

The Big 10 is not a tough conference, or atleast it hasn't been for the last 2 years. Is it better than the Mid Major conferences, and conference USA and stuff yes. However when you think of the major conferences now, the Big 10 has been really down the last two years, and has not been that tough. Yeah you some teams bowling, because most of them play weak non conference schedules, and then are able to get wins against each other, since most of them are just about average teams. Then you have an OSU (which is a good team, but not great) just go in and beat all these average teams. I will give you illonios is above average, but not a very good team either. The Big 10 use to be a very tough conference, and probably will be again soon, but as of right now for the last 2 years they have not. I do not know how you do not see that. If the Big 10 is as tough conference like you say, then OSU wouldn't be sliding into the championship game for the second year in a row. And that is the problem that most people have with it, is that since the big 10 is down. It allows an OSU team to slide into the national championship without beating any top teams. It allowed a good team (not one of the 2 best teams) to go to a championship game for the second year in a row. If there was a playoff system with say 8 teams in it, then I have no problem being in it, even with them not having played that great of a schedule. But they have not proved at all this year with the weak schedule in the Big 10 that they should be in the title game...

This thread is laughable... First off OSU should have a tougher schedule than UK anyways since they are in the running for the National Championships while UK is not(unless a miracle year). If your comparing their schedule to UK then you prove most peoples point right there. UK is building up their program unlike OSU so that leads to scheduling lesser OOC opponents. Throw in that every year the SEC has no less than 5 above average teams while the Big Ten is lucky to have 3.

UK beat LSU, so the all great OSU should have a cake walk.

This thread is out of control. Back to the topic, I think UK's schedule looks pretty tough, as usual.

Obviously the OOC isn't extremely tough but in-conference is more than enough. Overall, certainly tougher than OSU's even with USC.

Washington was one of them, who when this schedule was made was in a good run. We have played good teams in the past and we will continue to do that. Playing USC for the next two years is saying a lot compared to Kentucky's OOC schedule. And don't throw in the SEC talk either, because OOC games have nothing to do with the SEC..

Washington's Record the past 6 seasons:

2007 4-9

2006 5-7

2005 2-9

2004 1-10

2003 6-6

2002 7-6

Total 25-47 And your point was?

And Ohio State played a weak schedule

Louisville is better than anyone OSU played out of conference this season. You can't bring USC into the argument because you're bashing UK for next season's schedule compared to THIS season's OSU schedule. UL by themselves makes UK's better. NEXT season I'd give the nod to OSU by virtue of the USC game.
