December 14, 200718 yr I remember the LHL and C-J ripping UK for possibly putting restrictions on Marvin Stone's release...will they do the same here? As a UofL fans I think they should get ripped. If the guy wants to go, let him, no need to direct which way he goes. I do understand the Arkansas ban as being imposed to prevent massive defections to the old coach. But I still don't think it is the right thing to do.

December 14, 200718 yr Central Florida would be a good fit with how much they run the ball but he may not want to go their with loack of exposure. I wouldn't mind him transferring to Georgia Tech though with Paul Johnson installing the triple option.

December 15, 200718 yr ^ Yes they did. Don't you think that is pretty shallow? UL doesn't even play Arkansas.
December 15, 200718 yr Author ^ No....it keeps the possibility (albeit a very small one) of a handful of players wanting to follow Bobby....it's the right call, IMO.

So I think you are unknowingly agreeing with me. Why should the University place restrictions on student athletes who were recruited by another coach, who is now at another school UL will not play over the next 3 years?
December 15, 200718 yr Author ^ Because in their best interest is the University first....just like any school in America.
February 13, 200818 yr I assume that you are talking about Kevin Smith, if so he is already a Junior.Kevin Smith declared for the draft and won't be back for his Senior season. Curtis Francis was a Senior and Phillip Smith was 3rd on the depth chart last year. I don't know too much about UCF's other backs, but the Knights may be an option. Allen is from Tampa (Jesuit - 3A). Too bad the Bulls can't get him. It'd be nice to have a good power back like him along with Mike Ford and Jamar Taylor.
