Freshman NKY

Just to give everyone some insight on this issue the following is a direct quote from the Ockerman middle school hand book page 5.

Middle School Student participation in athletic and or extracurricular team/activities.

No Middle school student shall be permitted to participate on athletic and/or extracurricular team/activities at the high school level if such team/activities are also avaiable at the Middle school. This policy may be amended upon the joint approval of both the middle school and high school principals.

Not to hijack your thread but we have this same rule at Carroll and what it means is that you have to play at the MS, you can not just jump to the high school without completing your season at the Middle School. It works for us since the season is over mid-December for the MS girls and then they get to come to the HS and play.

There are exceptions made if needed but it is to prevent girls from not playing at the MS and then trying out for the HS team.

St. Patrick Freshmen are 5-0 beating Brossart, Fleming, Campbell Co, St. Henry, & Mason Co.

Anybody else have any Freshmen records to post? There is nowhere to find Freshmen news, other than here. It would be nice to know how some other teams are doing.

Most recently, Simon Kenton freshmen beat Grant County Friday night.

Lady Camels last week finally won. They went 2 and 1 int the last three games, losing to Holy Cross and beating St Henry and Belleview. They stand at 2-10 right now and are better than what their record shows.

St. Henry must have had some players move up. Saw them play earlier in the season and they were tough, very tough. Beating Pendleton by 20-30 points. Same Pendleton team that beat Campbell.

I am glad to see that scores and records are being posted, which, I think was the intention of this thread. Things got off topic there for a while.

Highlands downed Connor over the weekend and look to avenge an earlier loss, tomorrow against Boone.

I have to second this. Coach Clary is an excellent young man with a love for the game. He takes his position very seriously and is proud of his team. Good luck this year Ludlow!:thumb:

He is definitely one of the up and coming coaches in NKY! :thumb:

Highlands downs Boone in a rough a tumble affair. 42-28? something like that. More bruises than points in this one!

Harrison County squeaks by Mason County tonight with a one point win. Close one.

Highlands at Ryle tonight. LadyBirds will be trying to avenge their loss to Ryle in the 1st round of the Scott tournament. Go LadyBirds!

The Camels should of have beat the Lady Cats, if the Freshmen coach would play something else besides a 3-2 Zone and run the same offensive play all night, it would of have been a different game. The Freshmen girls are better than 2 wins out of 13. Watching these girls a couple of times, I shake my head and wonder where the program is going with the coaching.

LadyBirds are hitting on all cylinders at the moment. They are gearing up for a title run. Go Birds!!!
