I agree. If I were a player being recruited by Petrino I would have great difficulty believing anything he said. Being a liar seems to come easy to him.

Actually I disagree......Saban left the Dolphins out to dry in the offseason. This season is a wash for Atlanta, it is over. With that, instead of going into the off-season and making some Petrino-type moves, they can go in whatever direction they wish now.

I agree that burning bridges is tough....but he can certainly spin the regret, and grass not being greener card in his favor.....I say he recruits and succeeds just fine. I for one hope so.

Based on his reputation to not speak the truth, I think it will be extremely difficult to sell a parent that he has the best interest of their child at heart.

How can a parent or possible recruit place trust in anything he tells them? IMO it will take him staying at one place several years to prove he is a man of his word. As it now stands, Petrino simply can not be trusted and he has no one to blame for that character reference but himself.

Agreed....yet he will still recruit just fine....I feel very confident in that. His offense alone is enough to give it a look.

^ Very doubtful...this is mildly similar to when Coach Cov went to Castle....there really isn't a win (in a mindset) for Louisville in this.

I'll bet that Petrino doesn't even make it past 5 years with Arkansas! Can you imagine how bad his character is going to used against him in recruiting! He won't even get in the front door of a lot of places and I'd say recruiting Georgia isn't going to be to easty:)

McFadden is gone, Jones will most likely be gone as well, why go to Arkansas?

Go to the Falcons thread in the Pro Sports to see what he pulled with his coaches, Blank etc. I heard them all interviewed today. He has really hung a lot of people and their families out to dry!
