Mike Glaser should be taken off the list for not kicking a FG to put his team up 2 scores in the State Championship game!

Hey Polo, what if we kicked it and the snap was bad, kick blocked and T returns it? What if the kick was just missed? What if the kick was good and Phillips returns the ensuing kick off for a TD and and then X fumbled the return (like we did at the end of the game) and T recovers, scores and wins. X had their chances, but not kicking the field goal was a reasonable decision and one cannot say had we kicked it that the outcome would have been different.

Ty Scroggins, took a team that had come close so many times, and finally got them over the hump.

Mr Scroggins should have this hands down. Hats off to the Central coaching staff.

Coaching 101, Get the points! It was a very bad decision. A college coach would lose his job over a decision like that. The fans and kids talked him into it.

I think Hillard Howard (LCC) should possibly be on that list. He took a third year program to the third round of the playoffs and went 11-2.

Dale Muller gets my vote. All the gruff Coach Dale & staff took last year and to come back and go 15 - 0 this year is worthy of the recognition. However, as a former inner city coach in Cincinnati, Dale would vote for Ty Scroggins hands down... To coach at a tradition rich institution such as Highlands and to be the head coach at an inner city school without the tradition is the dfference between night and day.

Central was only 7 points away last year- so how far did he bring the team? Go with someone that had a poor team and improved- or someone that dominates year in and out. What Chuck Smith did at Boyle was amazing during those runs- from nothing to something. Scroggins made the difference but some schools had farther to go.

I voted for Coach Ray Graham.
