I have not heard anyone from Rose Hill talk about winning the state. They know they have their hands full beating Elliot County. Top 25 team, yes, but They are way too Young to be considered as State contenders. Euton is going to be judged in every game he plays from now until he graduates thanks to the Kentucky offer. Pretty tough spot to be in, but I also know that Euton knows what he needs to work on and will work as hard as anyone in the state

to get there. So for those of you that enjoy his bad games, enjoy this one, there won't be that many more of them as he has a lot of MONSTER games coming up:thumb:

Is he going to be a huge success at Kentucky? I have no idea, but I do know

Marshall Co must not be to weak. Mason only beat Rose Hill by 19 I think(close not sure)

No I'm not making fun of any kid and I never will. My response is not critical, or sarcastic but it is realistic and by the way who is 15?

 

There have been many great high schoolers find themselves transferring from big colleges after their freshman year. Both of Rose Hill's prospects may be better off at a smaller school.

 

Let me give you an example of one of my own. Mark Surgaski, in my opinion was a great player in this region. He ended up at Georgetown, where he played really well. I am not saying anything bad about any kid, so quit adding words to my post. You didnt argue with my post so maybe deep down, you agree.

I dont feel like Rose Hill has the team members to be in the Top 25 by any means. They are the Number 2 team in the 16th at best, but could even be in the 3-5 range in the Region before it is over. I believe the supporting cast are good kids and play hard, but dont have the talent to win, even with Euton and Jackson.

 

Would like to see how good these two would be with another team though.

How have I bashed any kid? For what it is worth, Rose Hill has a program.

Rose Hill DOES have a lot more players than two.

Its pretty early in the season

Maybe he didn't argue with you because he's not a clown who wants to start arguements on every thread that has to do with RoseHill. Why do you post on RoseHill threads anyway? You obviously are a Tomcat and maybe would be better served to take your pompous attitude to those threads if you don't have anything constructive to add to these threads. There are a lot of good teams and players in the region this year besides Ashland, and I'm sure everyone would like to be able to discuss them without you trying to ruin the thread everytime.

For the record: it wasn't a Rose Hill supporter who turned this thread into a Rose Hill/Ashland debate.

I have nothing against Rose Hill or the 16th Region. I do know that folks from that area are often overly sensitive to criticism from outsiders about any players/teams from that area. Personally, I could care less about the petty rivalries that fill up threads involving teams from that area, making those teams seem a lot better and more important than they really are.

 

I just want to know one thing: Has there ever been a team that had two players among the top 25 players in the state -- and I'm assuming we all agree Jackson and Euton are such -- that wasn't considered a top 25 team?

I don't know what kind of person it takes to constantly ridicule 16 year old boys. Euton and Jackson are both upstanding young men that just want to play basketball. I don't believe they have done anything to certain posters (you know who you are) personally that would cause them to be so concerned about their individual performance. I see plenty of other kids that don't have good games but no one posts how many shots they missed, turnovers, assists or rebounds like some do for these two boys!

 

It must be jealousy, because I can't think of any other reason anyone would constantly "brow-beat" these two boys. What is being said by Rose Hill supporters or anyone else is their opinion. They are proud of their team and their players. There are PLENTY of other parents and fans that hype up their team and talk about how good their players are.

 

Think about this...how would you like for your son to get on this site and see some of the things that some of you are saying? If these were professional adult basketball players getting paid millions of dollars to play the game, I could see fans being critical of their performance. They are getting paid to do a job. These two boys just love to play the game, they've put the effort and time in to get to where they are in their game.

 

Bad basketball players don't get offers or attention from college coaches. If they are good enough by the time they are seniors (which I and many others think they will be), they will go on and play at the level the college coaches think they can. Be happy for the boys, they did not do anything to you!:madman:
