The East's head coach is Louis Dover from Seneca. Coach Lucas was scheduled to be the head coach for the West team, but given the developments at Butler this week, I'm not sure about his status. Maybe someone else has more info. about that situation?

Does anyone know if this game replaces the former Kentucky-Tennessee All Star Game of years past? If so, why is it not State wide?

 

No. Many of the different areas have their own game. This is a fun event for all the players.

Just a reminder that the Hikes Point Lobos backfield 4 years ago was Justin Cloud-Atherton QB, Danny Bracken, Fern Creek, and Rhayven Smith, Manual RB with another being Justin Green, Rb junior at Male. Yes, we were pretty good.

I know all those kids and that team won the league. Devon Boze also was on the team although was not at the same level as those mentioned, he started at DeSales on the DL. He completed his Senior year with 67 tackles, 3 sacks, 1 blocked punt, and 2 fumble recoveries. Unfortunately he was sidelined the last two seasons due to ACL surgeries.

All State by the C-J usually comes out just before Xmas. All district a bit sooner I think... which means we are getting close.

I heard the biggest misjustice tonight that Matt Smith, St X Defensive lineman, UK signee, probable all state 1st or second team was an honorable mention all-district. I think the voting is like the preseason team poll that you can't vote for your own team.

Sorry to hear that about Devon. Is he looking to play in college? I know Danny B signed with Eastern Illinois to play baseball. He must of had a great baseball coach sometime!!

The ALL-STAR game being played on the 15th represents the GREATER Jefferson Co. area. The Tenn.-Kent. game no longer exists. Instead, the State has formed their own state-wide game. Coach Wallace from Bowling Green will coach the players from Districts 1,2,3,4. Coach Anderson from SWestern will coach the players from districts 5,6,7,8. I believe the game takes place in June? I have heard that the game will take place @ WKU but not certain.

Is that just all district in the Louisville area or for all the districts? Here is Owensboro I haven't seen anything but our all area that is just the teams here regardless of class.

I saw Danny play baseball this past summer, and he hit a homerun. Danny played baseball at Hikes Point as well and was to play at Seneca but moved I believe to Altanta to be with his father. The kid is little but has some skills. Yes, it was unfortunate for Devon, but through it all he has become a better person as well as an athlete. Devon is considering playing college football, however, only playing his Senior year he will have to be a walk-on. He has been accepted to EKU into the Aviation program. Is also considering Thomas-More in Northern Kentucky. I am confident that he will work as hard this off-season as prior to his Senior year and will produce at the next level.

Wow a blowout by the East. Considering the weather I am amazed with the score. Great Stats, lets hear from people who were at the game.

The weather was a real problem for both offenses. Too bad, because the kids didn't really get a chance to turn it loose and show their abilities. It's impressive that Matthews was 13 for 20 under those circumstances. For the east, Broderick Green (Seneca) and Bracken (Fern Creek) stood out. Green had a couple of good catches and ran good routes even in the icy conditions. Bracken is just plain quick! All 3 St. X players were impressive for the east defense, which gave up only 59 yards.
