How about Holcomb's skit he put on in the 4th quarter, I am surprised no one has mentioned it... I thought it was hilarious!!

 

It definately was entertaining, it also brought about 'Tusi's post about our PA man. That was a really ugly stretch of time on both team's part IMO. I could udnerstand what Holcomb was doing, he was trying to put a little bit of life and fire back into his team moreso than anything, but then once play resumed Thomas Varney lit up the receiver and Belfry held on a 4th Down dropped pass.

 

Speaking of which, I think dropped passes may have hurt Breathitt as bad as their fumble's did.

I totally agree with that.. and Charlie Dotson was on FIRE :fire: tonight!!!

Not to beat a dead horse here, because I have said it before, but I wish our PA man would tone down the schtick. :mad:

 

A little bit of emotion is fine. But cheerleading and showboating is bush league and out of line, especially when you're winning by 30 points. I was embarrassed by the way he was acting and I thought it was unsportsmanlike.

 

I'm sure there are those who would disagree with me, and I know I am old school, but I think we owe Breathitt an apology.

They fumbled once on the opening posession but recovered it..... they actually didn't look half bad running it aside from that, and they used it to set up a long TD pass (I think it was their 3rd TD) when they streaked a receiver and Fugate hit him in stride after runnign the option down the line.

I'm not suprised by this one and I think Breathitt is the 2nd best team in that class. That's how good Belfry is this year!

 

Somerset was a better team then Breathitt and the score reflected that. I saw Breathitt play and said this one would turn out like it did.

Congratulatins to Belfry and hope you go all the way. I think you will have no real problems. Breathitt had a good team this year but some soft spots. Belfry has a great team and no apparent weaknesses.

IMO .. JC is the best team we have played all season.. If play against JC tells the tale then we should have no problem... I know you can't really judge from that but.. I just have that feeling... I know nothing of Central and I am not underestimating them, I just think Belfry is FIERCE!! I can't wait till Friday.... I am anticipating it moreso than I was this one.. Somerset was a better team then Breathitt and the score reflected that. I saw Breathitt play and said this one would turn out like it did.

 

I was at both games and Somerset was nowhere near as good as Breathitt.

 

Belfry played a with a little more emotion, had ZERO TDs called back, and cause a few turnovers.

 

With all due respect, Somerset isn't physical enough to beat Breathitt Co., nor do they have as much skill in as many places.
