Reds, Cordero reach preliminary agreement

Milwaukee is also a launching pad, so a lot of his point is lost in the shuffle...

True but it is still a pretty alarming difference. I am all for this guy no question about it just pointing out the numbers.

51-30 and 32-49 had little to do with Cordero on the road. Just saying...

The numbers do not back that up.

A lot of HR's in GAB are pop flys in the rest of the league.

Not as much as people like to think. Lance broke it all down a while ago I wish I still had it. Good pitchers have good numbers at GABP and bad pitchers have bad numbers.

Texas can be considered a launching pad also and he had some solid years down there.

Cordero had 3 bad outings on the road that really make his road numbers look bad. In those games against Texas, Cincinnati and St. Louis he allowed 9 runs in 2 2/3 innings. Take those outings away and his road ERA was 3.25

We weren't going to get Rivera fellas... he sure seems like an upgrade from what we have. Now we need one solid #2-#3 pitcher.

I don't think anybody is complaining about this signing.

No not the signing the money maybe. You gotta pay to play unless your the Marlins scouts.

I love this move. They are trying to say the least, and he had a very good year last year.

Really isn't that bad of a deal most of it is what we were paying Milton right?

What do you mean? Reds gave him 3 years at 8.5 million didn't they? He filled for FA.

I was saying I rather give Cordero 11 Million to hopefully save 40 plus games instead of resigning Milton.

Salary increases spent all of the Milton "savings". And who in the hell is going to resign Milton at 8.5 anyway...
