November 26, 200718 yr Yikes. As an old guy who still plays a lot of b-ball I do not like to hear about knee injuries. At least TTC will now have time to reconsider his investment approach and come around to my way of thinking!(This will only have a meaning to him) The one problem I have with the story is that it implies he got off the ground. From what the folks in Danville tell me, that's not happening. I hear you, as I prepare to play in my bball league tonight. Yikes:scared: Here's to a speedy recovery.
November 26, 200718 yr Just got back on BGP for the first time since Monday. I will spare all the details. Let's just say the past several days have involved a lot of pain, needles, morphine, percocet, doctors, pretty nurses, unconsciousness, scalpels, huge scars, hospital rooms, and longing to be back on bgp. Looks like I have about a month before I can return to work and 6 months of total time to recuperate from this one. If some of you guys thought my jokes were bad before, think of how bad they will be when I have nothing to do at all AND I'm heavily medicated at the same time.:thumb: Seriously, the comments, prayers, and concerns mean more than you guys will ever possibly know, and I am so thankful to be a part of this awesome BGP family. Be patient with me. If you notice me trailing off in the middle of a sentence or rambling (more than the usual) that just means that it is "Every 4 Hours" or "As Needed" time. No worry. Adopted Admiral, your Guitar Hero comment was great. I know how much you Love That Game...
January 4, 200818 yr Today is a happy day in the TTC household. I had my 6 weeks appointment with the surgeon and have graduated from the horrors of the leg immobilizer device to a brace that actually allows for some bending of the knee (up to 40%).:dancingpa I'll be on crutches for another 6 weeks, but at least I am gaining a little mobility with the new brace. The doc says I can start driving in 2 weeks as long as the vehicle accomodates the brace. The only downer was that the doc said I would have to go under the knife again to remove all the hardware that is currently holding my knee together. I was hoping the junk could be removed with just a local or a "twilight" sedative but no such luck. I can't wait til the Lexington Ski Club posts its trips for the 2009 ski season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I may sign up for all of them.:D:D:D:D:D

January 4, 200818 yr Congrates! :thumb: However, skiing???? Did they replace your knee with, titanium? Believe me the skiing will be scaled down from now on. No more black or double black diamonds for me. As bad as this injury is, the doc actually said skiing is in my distant future as long as I follow the physical therapy schedule religiously that will begin 6 weeks from now.:thumb:
January 4, 200818 yr I remember when my knee came out of the immobilizer, I could only bend it about 5 degrees, if you have access, do stretches of moving it in a hot tub at first, really loosens things up!
