I am a big WVU fan, do they have a shot at title game? Thoughts and reasons.

I think that they absolutely do have shot. Looks to me like several still have shot. Just hope that they are not ranked #2 this week :sssh::eek:- I don't know how many teams that were ranked #2 have been beaten but it has been a few. I mean with the way that this crazy season has gone you don't want to be ranked in the top two untill the last poll. ;)

There is (to me anyway) no doubt about their offense, they have only one loss and UConn left and that should be blowout. Although UConn has had agood year imo they do not have close to the speed to compete with WVU.

IMO th eonly team that can shut down the WVU offense completely is WVU themselves. They are turnover prone.

WVU also has the Backyard Brawl against Pitt left...

For real!

I think they do. As long as either Kansas or LSU loses.

Kansas plays Missou next week so that will eliminate one of those. LSU still has to play the SEC championship game as well. I really think that there are probably 6 or 7 teams at this point that may still have a shot.

:thumb:Forgot about that one.

I think they do but with their pass D and east to west running I think they would get whacked by an LSU.

Well they better beat Pitt first. If they do that then yes they do.

You obviously didn't watch Shaffer have a field day against LSU yesterday then.

I was at the UC/WVU game and if Mauk holds on too the ball WVU probably isnt going to the championship if they even do. They run about 5 total plays which are confusing at times but very repetitive. I think I saw them throw down field 1-2 times. If a team gets a 14 point lead on them they aren't handing it to Slaton or letting White keep it. Frankly, I don't know what they would do. There pass defense is very suspect UC should have kept throwing and throwing.

I think we will see an LSU/WVU title game.

We very well could ,and it would be a great game.

WVU is #3 in the BCS...

I think WV does have a shot.

KU/Misso one of them will lose. Then that puts the winner vs OU. If Misso wins then that would make WV #2. If KU wins and gets beat by OU. Then WV is still #2. WVU should take care of Uconn at home and beat Pitt. This team has a good shot.
