According to the local stations here in Louisville, it's now a 50/50 chance that he will leave. SMU has not officially contacted him but they have been speaking somewhat indirectly and the job is his if he wants it. Jurich is completely behind Krag and wants him to stay but Krag is apparently already growing tired of what the current situation is doing to his family life.

^ Maybe....my favorite number. Look, in every program there are going to be level headed fans, and people that are FANS but want to be "right" on everything. I get tired of talking to friends of mine who are calling for Krag's head left and right. I simply ask them about their history in comparison to that of Coach K's and Tom Jurich's....you are talking life long sports people. In Coach K's sense he has been around football since birth, coached for a long, long time, and in the NFL, has a master's degree, etc.....he IS qualified to have this job. Are things going different than hopes and dreams of a supposed elite program? Darn right, but that does indeed happen from time to time. Tom Jurich needn't answer any questions, his history at U of L is a figurative "scoreboard" chant from the Atheltic Office.

Maybe 18% are calling for his head, but I would say 80% would be happy to see him hit the trail. There's a lot of people that think he isn't cut out for the job, but are willing to let him play out the string. If he takes himself out, that's fine and dandy.

Could somebody explain to me the phrase "Has lost control of the team." That makes absolutely no sense to me. If a kid won't play the way the head coach wants, make sure that kid never sees the field. If an assistant defies an instruction given by his boss, fire him.

Nothing really, maybe some interpretation of "no control". If anything he has more control than the two before him. Again, John L. didn't really discipline whatsoever, thinking that these kids were men, and if they kept their nose clean in the classroom all was well. Bobby P punished with physical activity and humility. Coach K is a no-nonsense coach. These kids really aren't used to that, they'll come around. There are some weak links in the staff, I look for that to be resolved right after the season.
