Illinois isn't a bad team or offense at all my friend. Mendenhall and Williams are both great runners and OSU just couldn't stop them. But that's last week and it's over, we beat Michigan AGAIN. He wasn't talking about the margin of victory. That supposedly "sick" defense WAS shredded. I would call allowing 251 yards rushing and 4 touchdown passes shredded. Their defense looks a lot better than it really is when it is playing against MAC or plodding Big 10 offenses.

So you don't think that OSU's defense got shredded against UM last year? Not in the bowl game either? Put the Cool Aid down. This year the defense gave up 400 yards, 5.1 ypc, and 28 points....you're right they didn't get shredded, they got annihilated.

November 18, 200718 yr Jealous. Let me state this very, very clear. I am in no way jealous of OSU, their past successes, or current fraudulent ones either. They are a good team in an average conference. They have been great before. I do not like OSU, but it is not out of green.

Why would talking about someone else, alleviate when a team (not MY) that I root for, plays the worst football game in history? That never makes me feel better, as a loss, doesn't set in unless truly bad things happen in that game...

I don't have any desire at all to trash other programs especially the ones that are "elite" remember that word? I really don't root for OSU but I do appreciate their history and success. I think 10-1 is much more impressive than whatever the team you root for winds up at.
November 18, 200718 yr I am not going to waste my time with the debate involving people being "jealous" of OSU. Jealousy or whatever you wanna call it is a side affect to persistent winning. I am an OSU fan but I dont care what other people say. The only thing that doesn't make sense to me is that OSU being one of the slowest teams in country with minimal athletes getting beaten by SEC team like schools... how are they one of the NFL leaders in player alumni? A league that is 5X as fast as college ball. Big Ten prefers smash mouth football with hard hitting defense. SEC likes spread offenses with pure speed calling. Just two different systems. And last year FL's system was better than OSU's, that's all it is.
