This game will be a fun one. NCC fans believe they will win, Corbin fans believe they will win, and experts seem to have mixed feelings. I think this game is definitely a game between the top 2 teams in Class AA as the rankings show.

 

NCC will be the best team Corbin has faced this year other than Belfry so Corbin better be ready for a fight. However, NCC hasn't faced a team as well balanced and tough/physical as Corbin, so they should be ready for one too.

Ryle and CovCath and Beechwood were all very physical teams but I would say only Beechwood was as well balanced as Corbin is.

This may come as a surpise on Friday night but keep an eye out on #19 Joseph Hamlin at linebacker. He probably doesn't go 145 soaking wet but is pound for pound one of the most physical players I have seen. Surprisingly his brother back in 2004 was the only person I can compare to being as physical at that size.

Sanders will also deliver a blow to you as an undersized backer. I think this game comes down to the secondary. Can the Hounds slow the Breds down thru the air. They have not shown the ability to stop the pass....see Somerset this year and Wburg from a couple of seasons ago and Breathitt from 6 years ago. If the pass defense comes up big, the Hounds a twenty point dog have a shot. If not then, the Breds will name the score

I know that NCC has a great Defense but I still think that Corbin will be able to get 2,3,4 yards a pop and be able to move the chains to sustain long drives and keep NCC off the field. A lot of people are expecting a 38-34 type game. I think this will be a 21-20, 21-14 type game. I am fully confident that Corbin can score on the Breds. I just hope that our kicking game woes can be fixed by Friday. I have feared all year that it could cost the Hounds. Hopefully we will have enough points without that playing into the outcome.

 

Any word on Campbell? If he is healthy, I expect him to be able to bull his way into the heart of the Thoroughbred defense. Even the best D's will have trouble slowing down a hosscat like him, not to mention that he will have some beardogs leading the way for him.

Apparently this guy hasn't seen both teams play football this year. Corbin is not that week and they have enough speed to stop NCC.

That is a brilliant insight. Let's continue to have fun on here. Hope if your a Corbin fan you get to come and watch these two pretty darn good teams match up. Newcath has been packing them in lately. Im sure Corbin will bring a crowd. This will be nothing shy of a great game. Great fans on both sides, a beautiful field to play on. The passing attack of the Breds versus the Running game of the Redhounds. I guess it boils down to this. The team that has their facemasks bent the most will win. They won't be able to get their helmets off their heads, and will therefore continue on to next week. Good luck to both teams

Yea, I was thinking the price of gas was just too high since we didn't stand a chance. But the Hounds are rollin' in more ways than one and I can't wait?
