Highlands' 2008 football schedule

Featured Replies

I know, I know, the 2007 postseason is not through yet... I get it. But I am just so curious to know if HHS has made up its 2008 schedule yet! Does anyone know which teams the 'Birds will be playing next year?

Should be the same just in reverse home and away, right?

Not necessarily. For example, the Louisville Central game was an HHS home game in...95 maybe. The Birds returned the favor this year. Plus, they played in the Herbie this year and that's not a guarantee. If this is the last year of a contract, some people may not renew. There are a lot of variables...

Here's what I know so far:

HHS will of course play their district opponents, so that will be CCH (at home), Scott (away), Dixie Heights (at home), and Holmes (away). They will be traveling to Hopkinsville in 2008 to play them. As of now, they have not been invited to play in the 2008 Herbie (and I highly doubt this will change), and will not be playing Ohio T-M.

What about Ryle, Central, LexCath, and Madison Central?

I do hope that HHS can play LexCath again in 2008. Also, it would be nice to play a NKY 6A team like Ryle or Boone County (or both?). I wonder if another Ohio team will grace the schedule in 2008?

I think they might play at Dixie again since they played at Highlands in 2005 and 2006. I may be wrong though, which wouldn't be a first. :D

I'm not exactly sure, but keep in mind that when they played in previous years, they weren't district opponents, which they have been this year (and next year). This may have something to do with where this year's and next year's games will be played.

I think they need to renew the rivalry with NCC.

I think you need to be NCC AD !!

I would welcome that idea!
