Well I know right now there are about 15 kids who did not play last year who are working hard in the weightroom and doing agility work right now. Coach Brumley is actively talking to kids that are at the school now to come out and play. I personally hope he gets this job because his mentality is just what the doctor ordered for this program. Also, after reading many of your posts I agree with some of them. I just hope that those of you who are replying to this post support this program. One thing that all programs need is community support, and I feel that support has been lost over the past few years and has not been really strong since the Mike Elkin days. I can remember when most of Berea and the surrounding area was at MSHS football games on Friday night. Also, the parents need to be apart of this program again, even when winning teams were normal at Southern it seemed as if there was always a small LOUD group of complainers...that will always take place I know, but when the support is truley there those voices will be drownded out. GO BRUMLEY...go Southern!

I think Southern needs a horse that has ran a race. Someone that has experience turning a program around. JMO

What Southern needs is someone without an agenda. Someone who knows the program from it's beginning. Someone who loves the School, the Program and the Community. Someone who will work with the other coaches in the school to make sure that the best in the school are representing the school in every sport that they choose to participate in. Someone who will not turn this into a political race, but do what ever is needed to be the caretaker of the Program, and with time and effort turn the Program into what it was intended to be when the school opened.

This is SUPPOSED to be about football at Madison Southern, not Basketball....just kidding.

 

I am curious...with the apparent lack of success last year with the Franklin system at Madison Southern, do you think they would go with a spread style coach, or some other system? I feel like you gotta match your system to what will make your kids the most successful. Don't know if MS has the athletes for their previous year's offense...

 

Just food for thought that we could debate about until they make their decision and this one gets closed.
