November 11, 200718 yr 1. Tebow 2. Everybody else If this award really was for the best player in the country or who is the most valuable player to their team no one does more than Timmy T. Couldnt agree more... :thumb: IMO....B/c he is a soph is the only reason he will not win.
November 11, 200718 yr Dixon does just as much, if not more, for his team. :thumb: Dixon wins it as of now.
November 11, 200718 yr If I had to put money down on 4 guys that will get invited to the show (in no order) McFadden Dixon Brennan Tebow WVU has a good chance to keep climbing so that could be interesting. Brennan isn't getting a lot of pub but if they beat Boise State and he is sitting their with the TD record then I suspect the media will start blowing him up. Dixon is in great shape to win it but McFadden is the best player in college IMO. There is no other player that can do what Tebow is so that is the group I would send there.
November 11, 200718 yr As of now it's probably a 3 horse race with Dixon and Tebow up front, and McFadden hanging around.
November 11, 200718 yr Tebow is a soph does that mean he can't win or more likely he won't win? Never said he wouldnt win b/c he is a soph, but it doesn't help him either, I dont think. I could be wrong but he def deserves it. Has a soph ever won the award? Mcfadden as a Soph, IMO should of won it last year, if you are talkng about best college player. I know alot could argue why Troy Smith won but OSU was as good with out him.....Arkansas wasnt with out DM...
November 12, 200718 yr I think Mcfadden really lost his chance after gettin blew up, and most of his yards coming after the outcome if the game had been decided. I think its a two horse race between Tebow and Dixon the 3 loses could hurt Tebow when its all said and done since it looks like the Ducks will be in the Nat. Champ. game.
November 12, 200718 yr Dixon will probably get the nod unless he falls flat in the next couple of games. Tebow's numbers are comparable, but the fact that he is a soph will turn a few voters off.
November 12, 200718 yr Does Woodson get an invite? If he plays well the next 2 games I believe he does. If they win both games then definitly IMO! That is a huge IF though! But to beat Louisville, Arkansas, LSU, Georgia, and Tennessee in the same season would be an amazing accomplishment for UK and Woodson leading the way.
November 12, 200718 yr I heard Mike & Mike say this morning that its Tebow's to lose at this point. Also, if UK beats both UGA and UT, do they win the SEC East?
November 12, 200718 yr I heard Mike & Mike say this morning that its Tebow's to lose at this point. Also, if UK beats both UGA and UT, do they win the SEC East? No, if that were the case then Florida would be the SEC champ. Its either going to be UT, UGA, or UF at this point. UT controls their own destiny.
