October 31, 200718 yr Is anyone in here in the Law Enforcement field? I love the job I have now.. but if something was to ever happen and I lost my job, I would love to go to the Police Academy and become a Police Officer. Anyone else interested in this field?

I dont think i'd want to be KSP.. i'd rather stay City Police or maybe County Sheriff.. i'd rather cover a smaller more populated area such as a city then a whole County.

I am nearly finished with my Criminal Justice degree at Eastern Kentucky University. I have a couple of semesters left. I'm thinking about adding a Political Science minor, but I am not sure.
October 31, 200718 yr My father is currently a lieutenant in law enforcement and he always told me that the pay comes later but being a police officer has excellent job security.

October 31, 200718 yr I am on the Erlanger City Council and I am a representative of the Police Committee and I enjoy what I do however, the stories I hear give me chill's and I don't think I could ever be a police officer. However, the guy's and gal's on our department like what they do. Ashed the GURU what his thoughts are. JD
