This is on Yahoo!'s front page now.

Just read the story and figured it would be posted over here. At this point, I have run out of words to describe why ANYONE would take the time to worry about this spoiled brat.

Why would God take the time to worry about any of us?

Let me just say this- Jon Weece is one of the most amazing pastors I've ever heard speak. He truly is a man of God.

I've been writing letters to Britney for years and they haven't gotten me anywhere.

I would hope that Mr. Weece would also encourage his flock to write letters of support to the 21-year-old from Lexington on welfare with 3 kids.

How do you know that they're not already doing more for the people of Lexington?

Look, I'm sure they do a fine job of helping those in need. However, if he's not also asking his flock to help the faceless single mother ON HIS BLOG FOR THE WORLD TO SEE then its nothing more than a publicity stunt. If he has made this request on his blog, then God bless him for what he does.

I am sure that less rich people in our area need letters of hope . I feel they are using God for their fame. I have been to the church and feel very welcome and the speaking is awsome. But get real she will not even see these letters and may never even know about them.

You obviously have no clue about Southland or Mr. Weece. They are constantly doing things for the "faceless" people out there. How did I know someone would be on this thread trying to call him out for trying to help someone that obviously needs it?

I'm not a religious person at all, BUT I have complete and total respect for anyone whose life involves the lord.

With that said, I would like to think this church can do a lot more with it's time and money than worrying about someone who can only be described with words that aren't allowed on this website.

If they wish to say a prayer for her during their services, then fine, but there is no need to waste valuable paper and stamps on a woman who doesn't care about anyone but herself.

I heard about this and I think it is fantastic. He actually said that the lord spoke to him (not sure if that is the exact words he used) and wanted him to pray for her. BS maybe rich and spoiled but she is one of God's people so he cares as much about her as the rest of us. Her 2 little kids also need her to turn her life around.

How about KFed then he needs prayer too. ?

I also don't understand why Britney Spears. And why on his blog? Britney is receiving millions of dollars worth of treatment, much more than what a lot of people don't get. I guess I can't criticize a man for helping someone, and I don't know his motives, but surely there has to be someone out there who is as much or more trouble then her with not nearly the resources. Like, you know, a house?
