JFK Assassination Discussion

Featured Replies

I started this last year and I am going to do it again:

My opinion is that Oswald was the scapegoat for a much big cover up then he knew. There HAD to be a 2nd gunmen and he had to be located somewhere along the Grassy Knoll. The fatal shot came from the right and the front. Perfect shot from someone besides Oswald. Lets Begin :)

LOVE this topic but I do not really have an opinion as to who & where the shooter was, although I am very intrigued by this subject.

Majority of people just read this thread, the ones who post back are the ones I love to talk too.

I have never believed there was a conspiracy. None whatsoever. Oswald did it with no help. He had tried to assassinate an Army general earlier that year and barely failed. The bullitt struck the window pane of the house and misdirected it. So he was bent on killing a big figure, and when JFK came to Dallas he had the opportunity....the motorcade came right by the place he worked. The guy he rode to work with said he had something wrapped in brown paper, which Oswald said was curtain rods. The guy identified the same brown paper in the room where Oswald fired his fatal shots. It all adds up to one person, one shooter, no conspiracy.

Read Gerald Posner's "Case Closed". Posner started out to write a book about a conspiracy, but soon realized there wasn't any evidence for one, so he switched gears and wrote his book about why all the conspiracy books by numerous authors don't hold water.

I agree

IMO, the assasination of JFK was sponsored by LBJ with the aid of J. Edgar Hoover. Hoover's involvement stems from the FBI murder of Marilyn Monroe, as ordered by Bobby Kennedy when Marilyn, after being dumped by both JFK and RFK, threatens to go public about the affairs. Hoover, being fed up with the Kennedy's and wanting to save "Camelot" from itself, agrees with LBJ that JFK must be eliminated as he is a danger to the nation.

I agree with you on the "conspiracy" theory . Unless that they developed a bullet that could make a U-Turn in mid air there had to be another shooter besides Oswald.

There have been several guesses as to who was behind it, Castro / Cuba and our own Government (L. Johnson) were two of the most mentioned that were behind it I believe.

I will be interested to read everyone else's opinions/theory's on this.

Oswald...in the the Depository...with a gun.

I can't help but think about Tim Wilson talking about Uncle B.S.'s story on Bob & Tom.

Saw an interesting show a while back. They intricately recreated "the shot" using the exact weapons, bullets, and anatomically detailed dummies. They proved conclusively that the one shot would have behaved exactly as it was reported.

The bullet only has to do a U-turn if Conley is sitting directly in front of Kennedy, which he WASN'T. Conley was on a runner seat to Kennedy's front left, about 4 to 6 inches lower in the car. So the "Magic Bullet" actually travels in a straight line.

Did I read somewhere that LBJ actually sent a memo or a some letter of correspondence 'as the president of the united states' a day or two before the actual assassination?
