The way you are making it seem Beechwood should be undefeated annd already be ordering their rings and anyone that isn't playing for Beechwood shouldn't even waste their time with football... The team Bellevue has and the team Dayton has with the addition of the new qb, both teams have a chance in that second round so why don't you try giving credit or respect for once...

Those are quailty wins, Beechwood is not god. They can be beat, just because Beechwood is good doesn't mean you disrespect other teams and players because trust me no matter who you play for you put in the work, I know Dayton and Bellevue both play hard as well as many other teams. Its not right for you to try and tell these kids what they have done means nothing because they aren't from Beechwood.:mad:

Most have to work harder because they aren't handed life on a silver platter like some from the wealthier areas. Many have to take jobs too so that means school, football, then work in one day.

You hit the nail right on the head. A lot of these kids from Newport, Dayton, Covington and Bellevue have to get jobs just to have something for themselves. I mean what more can you respect than a kid that gets out there and works, school and still plays their butts off with sports. What would people rather see them doing -- hanging out on the streets selling drugs -- I don't want to see that happen. :fight:

I'll give you credit -- Dayton has worked hard this year and good luck to them with the playoffs.

I'm sure all teams have players that work, and all teams have players that come from families that have more than most others. And all teams have players that come from families that have less than others.

 

Point is they all share the same thing. Every week they challenge themselves to do the best they can for themselves and their teams.

 

And in the end the scoreboard will say one team has more points than the other, but what it won't say is every kid that is a member of a team is fortunate to have the experienced something that will last forever. Years after the scoreboard lights are turned off for the night, the memories will still light up their minds.

Where did I mention Beechwood? And if you read all my posts, not just the ones you wanted, you would see I did nothing but praise Bellevue and there people.

Well said, It is not my intention to discredit the players and coaches of any program, I know all to well what it takes to compete, and I hold that in high regard. However, As much as you feel I dont give credit, I feel I have to defend, there is always an asterisk on a Beechwood win, well if it was'nt for fumbles or interceptions or bad calls or spots we would of beat them.

Lets call a truce here, the season is at its end, I will give credit to the river wins, no if ands or buts, just a big congrats, and you do the same.

We've left the path, let's get back to discussing Newport and Dayton.....

Newport did play well last week against HC so I do expect a close game against Dayton. With Dayton having home field advantage and senior night, I will give them the slight edge but wouldn't be surprised in Newport wins.
