October 22, 200718 yr Taped most of this game while I was at the Kentucky-Florida game. Good win for the trojans. Dominating performance by the defense. Offense looked a bit better , than they have. Fight On!!!

Booty didn't play! :scared: I believe that would have improved ND's chances, not hurt them. :thumb: Booty's finger injury reminds me of Jared Burton's injuries back in April...convenient. I doubt Petey C. is going to be rushing J.D. Booty back into action.

October 22, 200718 yr True. I would just go away, as far away from South Bend as I could. Going to a BCS game one year, then not even going to a bowl game the next is pretty sad. I know he lost Quinn, but still. 1-7? That's just plain SAD for one of the greatest college football programs of all time. Wow I guess I will have to go over this after every game. I mean people its really not that hard to figure out why things are the way they are this year..Yeah they not only lost Quinn, they lost THE WHOLE OFFENSE. The defense lost pretty much everyone too from last year. So well that means the special teams lost mostly everyone as well...So first that shows that they are playing with people this year, who really didn't play last year..Secondly the upperclassman they have, the people who have been around the longest, are not that talented at all. The seniors would be Ty's class which was not a good class. The juniors would be Charlie's, but remember alot of the top recruits had already signed or had strong relationships with other teams before he took over..The sophomores who was a GREAT class Charlie brough in but have really no experience, because alot of them was redshirted their freshman year. Then you have this years freshman was another GREAT recruiting class by Charlie, but once again they are freshman so that means they have no experience at the college level. So Notre Dame this year has a mix of guys with not much talent, and some with alot of talent, but all with no experience. So thats is a mixture for disaster right there, but then throw into the matter that Notre Dame plays one of the toughest schedules in the nation this year, and its not hard to figure out why they have only won one game... As I have been saying, what you need to look for in this team is if they have been improving..And well they have shown signs of improvement EVERY WEEK this year, except for the USC game..So the key thing to keep looking for though is if this team keeps improving, because if they do keep improving and get better each week, then this season wasn't as bad of a failure as it looks. Cause any reasonable fan this year knew coming in that this year would be BAD for all the reasons I have just stated...

As far as Lou Holtz saying that they would be good, I'd take that with a grain of salt, kinda like Spurrier voting for Duke every year.
October 22, 200718 yr BTW, for anyone who might care. Michael Floyd a 4-star WR from Minnesota committed to the Irish over the weekend. He is ranked #79 in the Rivals100, #11 WR, and #1 in MN. He is their top WR target for 2008.

No they wasn't...And well its Lou Holtz, he has picked Notre Dame to win every game this year. I mean I dont think he really thought that, but he is not going to go out and say that they will suck and lose since he had coached there. So I dont think we really cant take into account that Lou Holtz said they would be good..Most people who are not wearing blue and gold shades, knew this year would be a rough year. I know I really thought that this really could be an 0 and 8 team. I was suprised that they was even able to pull off one win so far..I do think they will get to 4 wins by the end of the year now, since the schedule is getting easier...
