Can anyone explain to me how Beshear's tuition reembersment plan will actually work? I can't see how they will be able to have enough funding for it.

I wouldn't vote for Fletcher if he was the only candidate running. Beshear has my vote.

 

I wouldn't vote for Beshear if he were the only candidate running. Fletcher isn't perfect but he is a far cry above Beshear. I refuse to vote for anyone who would be for killing the innocent unborn child . . . that's my major issue, Beshear has several others (gambling, civil unions, etc.) that leave a sour taste. The 2 party system leaves much to be desired but until it changes we will have elections like this. I'll be casting my vote for Fletcher.

Fletcher has no chance. He got off to a bad start with his insurance proposal for teachers and other state workers in his first few months as governor. It hurt him just as much as the merit hiring, which I personally do not think was that big of a deal. When he took office 77% of the state workers were Democrats. After the merit hiring ordeal, it changed very little....to 73% Democratic. However, I suppose, he got hammered by Stumbo and company because his campaign slogans was an 'ethical, clean-up-the-corruption-in-politics' type of thing. Happy Chandler was probably smiling from his grave.

Anyway, I know some long time diehard Republicans that will not vote for him for that reason. Some say they might not even vote because they're still angry with Fletcher, but can't stand the thought of voting for a Democrat for governor. The county I live in, BTW, is over 80% Republican.

I'm voting for Guru for Gov.

Both candidates are poor. Neither deserves a vote. I will stay away from the polls. Beshear will win because he is the Democrat. Fletcher has guaranteed that none of us will live to see another Republican governor. He didn't do anything the Democrats haven't done for decades but you must remember how the system works in Kentucky.
