It doesn't matter what other folks say. He will be star. Ej is the most humble kid I have ever coached. All he cares about is whats best for the team. He is great on and off he Field. He comes from a good family. He will more than likely run track at UK as well.

UK wants Ej to play Wr. He is a lot like Burton. He is 6-3 185lbs. RUns like a deer.

I'll second that. He is fast, agile, has great moves, has great situational awareness, and is VERY tough. The kid can take brutal hits and keep on coming.

You got to love signing Ky kids.

Will have to put on some muscle to play in the SEC....Congrats!

He plays three sports at Frankfort High and never has spent alot of time in the weightroom. He will bulk up nicely I would think in a serious weight program. I will also add what has already been said not only are they getting a great football player he's just as good a person and comes from a great family.

Congratulations EJ and the University of Kentucky!!!!

E.J. is a class act and something else many may not know is that he is a very young Senior. In a day that many parents hold their kids back in order to get one more year of physical maturity, E.J. turned 17 recently.

I think he has a huge upside.

Good commitment for the Cats!!

:thumb:Agree on that .Congrats to EJ and the entire Fields family. I'm sure Dad (Ed ) is on cloud 9.:ylsuper:

Let me just say, being a very good close friend to EJ. He is a very nice person. One of the most humblest players I have ever known to play this sport. Has a very good attitude twoards everything and is willing to push himself beyond limits to not only make himself a better player, but his team.

Fields, standing roughly at 6'3", 180 pounds, running a 4.4, and arguably the fastest kid in the state of Kentucky a 2-time 400 track state champion, this year will probably be state champion in the 100, 200, and 400.

Let's say he's the type if you say, EJ I bet I can beat you in a race (knowing the opponet is slower than syrup)...he'd reply, and I am quoting him on this, "I know it man, I'm sloww...I have to work harder to beat you.." in a kidding manner, doesn't brag, talk is nothing to this kid, proving himself is everything.

I'd say coming to Kentucky, EJ will bring a lot of positive attitude, awareness, speed, speed, speed, determination, and will power to help Brooks and Cats out, Good luck my friend!

I don't know EJ Fields from Sally Field (having never met either one), but let me say how great it is to hear about these talented young men that are also outstanding people off the field. You just love to hear stories like that -- good luck young man! I'm sure your friends and family are as proud of you as they can be; I look forward to watching you play at UK.

They just signed the best high school football player in Kentucky.

Congrats E.J.! I enjoyed covering you when I was in Frankfort and hopefully I'll see you at a couple of UK games in the future.

Coach Buckett, I don't know if E.J. reads the site, but send my congrats along to him and Mr. Fields.
