Can anybody else not stand the guy????

We were making fun of him last Thursday night about his 'motivational' speeches at halftime.

One of the guys that works with me used to work under him. Said he was a real gem!! :laugh::laugh::laugh:

He is the worse announcer in college football.

It's okay to be a homer, but as an analyst, you should be unbiased. With that said, Lou always picks SC and Notre Dame. It would, however, be interesting to see who he picked if the 2 played each other.

I can't help but like the man.

My brother in law heard him speak years ago at a coaches conference / seminar and said that he was one of the better speakers that he had heard. (remember, that was years ago).

Holtz ma be getting too old now and he messes up some of the things he says but the man has definately forgotten more football than most if not all of us on this board will ever know and he definately is more knowledgable than M. May and R. Davis on that show.

Agree!

I love Lou, I think that ESPN wants him to be a homer when it comes to USC and ND!!! Theres no way he really beileves in half the picks he makes when it comes to those two teams...

Did you watch the UC/Rutgers game Saturday night?

It's no different than Mark May always picking against ND. As an analyst, yes, you should be unbiased. However, if you are now an analyst after a history of playing or coaching for a certain program, then IMO, that's a free pass for being a homer.

Disagree. It's ESPN. It's not Notre Dame TV. Also, even though Mark May is not my favorite, he's been correct 5 out of 6 times this year on his ND predictions.

I think you just supported my opinion. It's ESPN.

May's hatred for ND spans much longer than this year. It's very easy for him to pick against them this year, because they're horrible.

You're right, ND is horrible, but I didn't support your opinion. Both guys should be unbiased because it's nationally viewed. That was my point.

He is #1 and Bill Curry is #1A

They are terrible!
